Andrea Evans (ex-Tina Lord Roberts), one of the most popular and iconic stars of One Life to Live, passed away from her battle with cancer back in July. To honor her, several of her former castmates will join Michael Fairman for a livestream tribute in celebration of her life and career.
On a special day and time, Wednesday August 9th at 4PM ET/1PM PT, One Life to Live stars, Erika Slezak (ex-Viki), John Loprieno (ex-Cord), Fiona Hutchison (ex-Gabrielle), Robert S. Woods (ex-Bo) will share their memories of working with Evans and more. Be on the lookout for more former castmates and friends to join in our tribute.

Tina and Cord storyline got me through a rough time of my life. At 11 & 12 yrs old I was in a hospital and wheelchair for a year. It got tough. I couldn't do much of anything but watching both John and Andrea was my light. I can't thank Andrea but John I want to thank you

Yes, I loved & will always love Tina & Cord. They are SOOO 1986. At the exact same tine I just loved seeing Tina be Tina. This was a great period for the show and Andrea Evans stood out. Her style & performance defined 80s One Life for me. I am grateful for that memory. For a 7 year old Tina was soaps. I would learn talents latter , however she was my introduction !

Andrea Evans was one of the reasons I became a lifelong One Life to Live fan. Tina was definitely a force when she joined the show. It was just a glimpse of whst was to come. When it was revealed that Tina was Viki’s sister, it was pure soap opera gold. Once Cord, Max, and Gabrielle were added, it was must see. It was in the early days of VCRs, and OLTL and Days of Our Lives aired at the same time. My mom had to switch the channels to make sure my sister and I had our shows. When Bo and Tina were paired, it seemed odd, but then it was the faux Bo. While I watched OLTL until the very end on ABC and then Prospect Park, I always yearned for Tina to return. It was such a gift that she did return. Of course, there were other characters that became powerhouse denizens of Llanview, so I don’t criticize them. Tina was just so magical that her presence was always missed. Sometimes, her line delivery was absolute perfection. I still remember when she and Gabrielle fell into Eterna, Tina stood up and said, “I’ve survived worse falls than that.” It was in reference to the Iguazu Falls. I had the chance to tell her, on Social Media, that I still remembered that line and her delivery. She was so gracious, and thanked me. I had not expected a response, and was literally giddy for a couple weeks. Thank you, for bringing this to fans. It was nice hearing John is still in touch with Barbara Luna. I loved her as Maria. One Life to Live still holds a special place for fans. Andrea Evans will always be a very special person, and she gave us a tremendous gift through her performance as Tina Lord.

I met Andrea in an LA restaurant after the ABC series was canceled and the Prospect Park version was about to air. I went up to her table(she was dining with 3 other people), and I said 'Hello, I am a big fan of yours, are you joining the Prospect Park version?" She was very timid and meekly said, "no, Im not", I wondered why she was so timid, almost scared. One of the men at the table looked at Andrea nodding in approval. I interpreted it as - he was comforting her implying there are nice fans out there. Now I understand why, - dealing with a stalker for years and years. So sad.

My friend went to Argentina for a college semester in Argentina about 5 years ago and she showed me pictures of her boating trip through Iguazu Falls. I said joking "like Tina on One ife to Live?" and she said simply "Yeah". I was floored! She went on the trip as a fan of Tina. I never knew!

I was lucky enough to go to the 1985 daytime Emmy's, as a 16 year old wanna be actress, & I was so blessed to meet & talk with my favorite soap actors! I saw Erika & Robin, & they signed autographs & took pictures, & they had similar traits as their characters, but they were beautiful! However, Erika was ethereal & Stunning in person, & I couldn't take my eyes off of her! What an exciting day, & I will never forget it; it was like I got to be Cinderella that day! A few weeks later, Andrea Evans was at the Roosevelt field mall, in Garden City, but for some reason, I could not go, so, my sister got autographs for me, and the picture she brought home with Andrea was just stunning. Those eyes, that hair, her mischievous grin, and laugh. She was a memorable character, and I'm so sorry to hear of her passing; she will be missed greatly. Having just got a new angel, in you, dear Andrea.💜🥰🌟☀️🙏🎁🕊️✝️🥹💔

When I heard about Andrea, I couldn't believe it. What a time it was in soaps! Next to Genie Francis and Meg Ryan, she was the best teen to adult soap actresses ever! What a sweet, cool person! I am ecstatic to be watching this. Love seeing all these wonderful cast members talking about the memories of and paying tribute to Andrea Evans as well as talking about some of the OLTL storylines, in particular the Faux Bo one. That was the storyline going on when I first started watching OLTL in 1988 and it was tragic to see Didi die in that storyline. I also loved watching the evolution of Gabrielle and how she and Bo got together. Seeing all these cast members on here shows me the magic between all of them is still there. This was very special. OLTL was always my favorite soap, and seeing Erika again is prize enough! But Andrea Evans was so iconic... Tina's fatal fight with Maria Roberts is one of my earliest, strongest memories from the show. I just couldn't believe how outrageous it was. I miss that sense of outrageousness combined with budget and superb acting. We don't quite get that anymore. OLTL in the 80s and 90s were the peak! And Andrea was a huge part of it.

This is incredible. Andrea Evans was so distinctive and memorable. You can visualize her right before your eyes. Erica Slezak, my soap favorite of all time elaborating in detail on Andrea's New York stalker is most enlightening. What a cross for Andrea to have born. What I did not know or remember is ditzy Tina putting all others to shame with her photographic memory leaving all her acting partners struggling.The photographic memory hs certainly got to be the key to success in every field! I would like to comment on John Loprieno in the video. John always seemed to be such a wonderful guy. You imagine he is Cord. Modest and stalwart. i remember when OLTL was at its end John was moving into college theater of some sort as a teacher. So here he is X number of years later having fufilled that plan photographed in his college office surrounded by posters of all the shows he has produced. I was in Play production in high school for 3 years, worshiped the drama teacher, etc and so this very much calls to me. You know John's many students, past & present love him! I also know a kind of jockular guy, Larry Heimgardner of Harbor College in Long Beach, CA who's career has been head of drama there for many years. He always seemed more a football coach which was kind of charming and I am reminded of him as I think of JL in the same role.

Andrea Evans is why I fell in love with soaps. I was a wee lil gayby back then, but my earliest memories of “One Life To Live” was any scene featuring Tina. I was obsessed before I even know what that word meant with everything about her. The hair, the pouty red lip, the furs, that “dune…dune…dune…da dune…nah nah nu nu nu…” theme music that would under score her whenever Tina was up to something (how i miss the 80s) it was so good! I remember being so sad when she left the show, and finding out years later the reason why she had to go, I hated for her she went through all that but it was great to have a little bit of closure for the character having Tina return (with Cord) before the series ended. No shade to any of the other actresses that played the role, but Andrea Evans was THEE one and only Tina Lord Roberts to me. She will forever be my all time favorite soap diva. One Life to Live was my favorite soap opera. Loved the actors/characters and the writing. There were some crazy plot lines, but they kept fans entertained for decades. It was one of the first soaps to feature people of diverse ethnicities with good stories. Agnes Nixon worked magic with this and All My Children. It is so nice to see some of my favorite actors speaking about the radiant and talented Andrea Evans. I was shocked to hear of her passing. She was the best "Tina". Her presence lit up the screen. I remember the antics of Gabrielle and Tina. They were so great together. They were both hilarious together. I am going to miss seeing Andrea in one of these zoom sessions. But thank god they are old videos of One Life To Live.

I am so sorry to hear of Andrea Evans’ passing😢. I miss my ABC soaps! Since ABC cancelled the whole daytime lineup, I only watch them one hour a day, 5 days a week (General Hospital). No need for cable, I’m at work when it comes on and never miss it. I watched the soaps online as they finally waned them out, but I sure do miss everyone. Occasionally GH is bringing in some of the oldies from the cancelled shows. I love it!
