This is becoming one of my favorite ways to light portraits in my hobbyist home studio. However, your video shows I can really improve HOW I'm bouncing the light. Thanks for the techniques, tips, and explanations that will make me a better light-bouncer. This was a great topic!

I have recently decided to take a huge gamble and pursue photography full time as a 30 year old starting from nothing. I think I have a good eye, but I’m a complete beginner. Your channel is a savior. I’m learning so much from you-thank you so much for not gatekeeping this information and putting it in a format that feels comfortable to listen to and easy to understand.

It’s so awesome to have a lighting tutorial done with continuous light and video. Much more informative than just seeing finished portraits shot with a strobe.

Brilliant! In my journey I had got to more and more complicated setups with my lighting using 3-5 lights, with gels, softboxes, umbrellas, snoots etc and often it felt like thats the way to do it as otherwise its not "professional" but going back to minimal really helps re-set the mind on approaches and is a great reminder of what can be achieved especially if like me on a budget and with minimal space available so bouncing plus some hard directional in some combinatinos can be fantastic for portraits & fashion

This was very informative indeed. I thought I knew bounced light but now I realize that I only knew very little. BUT having these lighting diagrams updating in real time was really the icing on the cake. Great video

Great video! There’s any situation that you choose bounce into a card instead use a softbox?
@TheSlantedLens Жыл бұрын
Yes, there are many situations. If the room is really tight I may bounce off the wall or the ceiling. If the soft box light looks to harsh I will bounce it.
