is there anyway you could follow up on with this machine using the hat hoops? i'm in the market for a multi and this is the one i'm looking to get. I have a platinum mn 1000 embroidery machine it was embroidering then the start button flashed red and beeps and the machine stops - any ideas why? the manual has no tips- thank you

I just got this machine. When I press start/stop the thread take up lever moves up and down, but the needles don't. Please help.

The first thing is to check that the hand wheel in the back is set to 0. If it is not, go to your manual and check exactly how to set it to 0. If it is already at 0 or this doesn't work, then you need to take the machine to your local dealer to be looked at. Hope this helps!
