Wow, I stumbled upon your channel because I was interested in Korg Minilogue XD, but I saw you made a cover of one of my favourite The Cure songs and honestly I didn't expect it would be so well made, especially the vocal part. Subscribed. I'm not a musician and I'm pretty sure my own attempt at making a cover of this song would be pitiful at best, so don't take my advice too seriously, but I'm wondering if adding some reverb on the piano wouldn't make it sit a bit better in the mix, because it sounded slightly out of place to my simple ears. I mean, I could hear some reverb, but I think it was the room? Some EQ could help too. But maybe it's just me not being a huge fan of piano sound, I definitely prefer synthesisers ;)

Hi Mate, thanks for the kind word! You did have good ears! I also found the piano sound was a bit stand out too much. I mostly just record the original sound as is within the video, so didn’t use much post processing except vocal. But yes, if I were to do it again, definitely some reverb would works better for piano! Thanks again for subs!

@@truedanbo OK, thanks for the explanation, I fully understand and support the artistic decision of using raw sound, I think it makes the result more "authentic" :)
