Don't use threadlocker on cam gear bolts, install those clean and dry then torque

I lined the 2 marks on the lh intake an exhaust cams 100% inline and didn’t make them off centre a little bit like you did and it seems to be 1 tooth out? I assume that’s because when you put the last pulley on it moves the cams a little bit?

Hope you see this comment bro, tier one performance does a video about timing if you look up “Subaru EJ timing marks” if yours looks like theirs it’s perfectly normal 👍🏽

Question. Can the Crank sprocket be off by 360 degrees? Or can I spin the Crank sprocket round and round and it's fine as long as the Crank line is matched up to the knotch on the timing cover?

360 degrees wouldn’t be off from 0

Do you know if the camshaft bolts are reusable

I reuse them and lots of people do but I’m not sure if Subaru calls for replacing them or not. I definitely would replace if the heads of the bolts are stripped/damaged at all.

What year ej257 is this engine? The STi engine has dual AVCS, intake and exhaust.

I believe the earlier sti motors only had single avcs
