Quite enjoyable to watch! Curious why you went with the OEM oil pickup and baffle? With it being a weak spot in the factory setup, i figured a fresh rebuild would be the ideal time to do a Killer B pickup and baffle or IAGs.

Since the entire car is going back to all stock, and up to the new owner if they want to modify the engine. It didn't seem worth it for me to spend the money on those upgrades. For a daily driver OEM is perfectly fine, if you start to track the car or go higher power then yeah Killer B is a great option. 👍

Yup i have another VA STi that makes 400whp. I will be rebuilding that one with more upgrades in another video and go over the benefits of each upgrade.

Hey I’m actually on the same path as you I want to do exactly the same thing.. I had a question about the heads, did you buy new cams? And also did you buy new cam caps? If so where did you buy them?

I reused the original camshafts. The way EJ turbo heads are made the cam caps and cylinder head are machined together, so the cam caps and cylinder heads can not be interchanged or replaced, unless you can find someone that can machine them together.

basic hand tools, torque wrenches, and torque angle tools are needed, feeler gauges for valve clearance, and specialty tools for the seals can be found at Company23's website!

Most repair manuals have torque specs for each bolt 👍🏻

What is the price of an engine like this?

It depends, used Complete motors can be $5k+, or a new block which was just in the box in the beginning is around $2k.
