Probably because it is marbled with references to other plays, other theatrical characters, and even to the particularities of theater history. It a very rich literature to work through.

You need to read the plays of _Coleman & Garrick_ forget the patronising rubbish they insist you read. This is English at its very best: funny, entertaining, pertinent and relevant to modern times and _immensely stimulating._ If there is a paragraph you dont understand: look up the meanings of any words and whatever they told you at school: *memorise the hell out of it.* It will be there in the bookshelf of your brain as a basis and foundation of your knowledge which you can use at ANY time later in your later life to both entertain and share the knowledge in order to inspire others.
