Hi Jon, i am curious, can you use this reel on 12ft rods, i think it will do its job. My thought is putting it on Daiwa Vertice 12ft rod.

I am going to use a 9ft dwarf as my spod rod as I don’t fish out to far … could I use this as a spod reel?

Yes mate deffo would probably go with the nash dwarf compact big pit tho as don't need the free spool
