Another review of someone who show his face 90% of the time...

Clearly I'm shit at reviewing lenses then 🤷♂️ are you the kind soul to leave me the single dislike?
@mica.motion4 жыл бұрын
@@FamauMedia Yeah, sorry for you, but i'm tired of people showing their faces. We want to see footage, performance in the dark... Everything but KZbinr's faces. You can watch a video about 3d, cinema, photos = FACES OF KZbinRS... (i remove my dislike because you are not the worst)

@@FamauMedia Maybe my point is not really usefull for you, i'm upset about this. I'm not mad at you, don't worry. Yesterday i watched this : kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmillH-vjseMqbs I mean... Why ? Lucky we can't get naked on KZbin.

You mentioned f2.8 is f5.6 FF equivalent so not good in low light. But f2.8 is still actually f2.8 in light gathering. F5.6 equivalent only applies to depth of field, not light? Correct me if I am wrong?

jcpanda I couldn’t be bothered explaining equivalence in a video I wanted to be less than 5 minutes 🤷♂️

nope, he is right. the lenses are great in day light, but still at 2.8 with the 35-100 (since I have it) in the dark, you won't see a thing.. again as he said, it is the sensor size, it is half size of the full frame sensor, therefore half light come through (crop factor of 2.0)
@samialghamian99933 жыл бұрын
and compared to an APS-C (photoraphy language as well called super 35 in film language) sensor it would be equivalent to a f3.5 because the crop factor from APS-C to a full frame is 1.5 which means half stop from a MFT to a APS-C ;)

@@samialghamian9993 whats a good f for low light?
@samialghamian99933 жыл бұрын
@@dinodevtech1077 simply said, the lower the number gets, (for examply f1.4) which means the wider the aperture opens

Great review! Wich lens would you recommend for shooting high quality cinematic outdoor videos with nature and mountains in the background? I would use it on the Black Magic 4K camera, will it need a adapter for that camera? Thanks in advance :)

I've not used Micro4/3 in nearly 2 years, so I can't really comment on any new stuff. But you can't go wrong adapting to Canon EF glass using a speed-booster - there's plenty of second hand stuff out there 👌

Thanks for the video bro. I own the 12 to 35 mm currently and plan to get the 35 to 100 soon. At the wedding sites how do you manage videography and photography together? Do you keep two setups or a single setup.

Having two separate set-ups, a photo kit & a video kit, is always the best way to go. Saves a lot of confusion

Hi, Ben. First time here. Thanks for the quick and "to the point" video. I bought this lens to pair with my Olympus E-M1 MK II specifically to shoot a wedding (photo only) at night. Any tips on that? I am afraid that the m43 sensor will fail me in a dark situation... Cheers!

You're welcome! This is exactly why I ended up switching over to a Sony system. M4/3 can definitely do well in low light, especially with the absurd stabilisation, but when you have moving subjects it's a real downfall. For anything else though, cracking lens

Whereas for Indoors (read Low light) I have Panasonic Leica primes: 15mm f1.7 (great for gimbal too); 25mm 1.4 and (as of this morning) the Nocticron 42.5 f1.2
@colinthecameraguy5 жыл бұрын
@@FamauMedia yes the prime lenses are essential to make up for the inherent lack of low light performance plus the shallow depth of field is also useful and then I use back button AFS
