I am my Grandma’s twenty-sixth grandchild just like Millie. That wonderful woman passed away this week at 90 years old, leaving behind 9 children and 37 grandchildren. God bless your family, I love watching them ❤️

It's so distressing to have a crying baby who suffers with colic. God bless you all and believe me, it will pass and you will wonder how you survived with no sleep but you will be so proud to have coped with it all. You are a beautiful family with an amazing grandmother.....8 kids!!

Loved this video! Baby Millie is the most precious little one. I’m glad to know that Ashley is feeling better and that Dave’s mother has arrived to help out! I sure miss my mother, who passed away almost 18 years ago. She also helped when her grandchildren were born.

Swaddling and a raised sleeping position and we ended up having to do meds too. The no sleep and crying is no joke with these. She’s so beautiful and fits right in with all your adorable kids!!

My second born had Gerd/colic. He was pretty much in our arms all the time. Lovely being able to snuggle him, but difficult getting anything done. I found wearing him in a baby sling helped a lot. (He’s now a wonderful 25 year old man.)

My youngest had that too. I had her sleep in her bouncy so her head would be elevated and the GERD didn’t wake her up as much. Dr put her on Reglan, which helped a lot. Babies pretty much outgrow it when they start sitting up. Good luck! 🍀💕

Have you looked into a chiropractor for colic? My chiropractor works on babies with colic and it’s amazing watching. Moms say it actual worked for their babies as young as 6 weeks. Love you videos and family!

Have you tried chiropractic for Millie? My DIL is a chiropractor and she adjusted her babies w/in the first 24 hrs of their lives. My granddaughter was soy/dairy allergic and she was not a fussy baby at all. Your entire family is so sweet!!!

I remember our next door neighbor’s baby back in the 90s who was colicky. They used to spend their evenings driving the baby around cuz that’s what made him stop crying but had gotten to a point they got so tired. Someone suggested to them to put the baby in car seat on top of a dryer and turn it on (with wet clothes or towel). The vibration from the dryer gave the baby the feeling of being in the car and it put him to sleep. Lol!

Dave, I love how your mom just walked through the door and dove into what the kids were doing. Carson and Claire teaching grandma, oh my geez!! Love it!! GERD is pronounced with a hard "g." I have it. I haven't dealt with it in an infant but I used to nanny for a couple that had a baby with ear problems, and I'd put the baby in her car seat for naps. It worked like a charm. I had tubes in my ears twice from 1-3 and still got ear infections, even as an adult. So I knew with this baby that it's just about being vertical since things start to go haywire when horizontal. Apparently, it's much the same with GERD. At @ 40:30 in this movie, you'll find out what could help Millie and help y'all get more sleep. kzbin.info/www/bejne/raLXXoSgrd2cl5Y It's called Uncommon Grace. And there's some info. on baby GERD or infant reflux on the Mayo Clinic's site at: www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/infant-acid-reflux/symptoms-causes/syc-20351408 I hope that helps. If y'all can't hold her, like when there's only one parent with all the kids, you can try putting her in the car seat. It'll keep her vertical without an adult holding her that long. You could also feed her in that position and that way all 3 kids can get involved in feeding her too. The overwhelming sense of accomplishment kids get from helping is like none other.
