I admire his ingenuity but the quality of this conversion? That is debatable.

@@montedaestrada3563 Sir, it is a shop and visitor attraction. I would support Engel's choices ... The Quality will be in the creaminess of the Ice Cream, the setting out of the historical and craft exhibits and the presentation (crucially important!!) of the bathroom. ❤

Not to put too fine a point on it, my friend, but you might want some pretty good soundproofing in those bathrooms. With thin walls and all those hard surfaces, any noise in there is liable to be the shot heard round the world, as it were. Better hang some curtains or something in there. It looks really great. I hope it does really well for you. Like everything you do, you are doing an excellent job.

Looks great Dave! leaving that brick exposed is nice touch. here in Western MA. there are alot of old mills. (Wool, Paper, Tannery's etc. and a lot of them are converted over to living apartments and a lot of the old brick is incorporated in the design decore same way I love seeing and keeping all stuff old again is new again. great thanks for sharing ECF.

I don't really know how to find that. Here in Germany no one would think of covering a wall with sheet metal. I saw that back then with Keith Rucker and I was very surprised. But that was a workshop. It surprises me that the walls of a shop in an old building are covered with sheet metal. And that despite the fact that you are more of a wooden man than a tin man.

In the early 2000's, my wife, some friends and I opened a store called Quirks & Cravings. Part of it was a shop where people could rent out space to sell stuff they made (quirks), and part of it was a sandwich shop (cravings). It was a decent little earner, but mostly because we didn't have to pay anyone to run the place (we did). For the people renting out space, some of them will probably like just floor space, but some will probably like to have a pre-made rack of some kind. Those were easy to make out of peg board & 2x4's, something you'll have no problem with if you want to go that route. I think I saw you had some glass cases already, good for people who craft jewelry. Anyway, good luck!

Re "subs" - when doing wagons, wheels and farm stuff he's pretty much one of a kind. Doing farm, construction, and the stuff he's now doing, he's competing with several thousand other sites, many of which are much more edited and polished. I really miss watching the wagon - coopering stuff, that's why I originally subscribed... that and the old-fashioned ethic.
