Heeeeey! Thanks for all of the compliments. I tried getting into SRB2, but the controls and lack of homing attack made it exceptionally difficult for me, so I'm very glad that this mod has been so well received since Golden Shine and I poured our hearts into it. :)

I loved the Twitch voices so much, they were like every voice from Tomodachi Life xD

Personally, I prefer to play SRB2 in manual mode, though that is mostly due to me growing up playing first person shooters, and notably, the first platformer that I actually put much time into, was a hat in time, which happens to control a lot like manual mode. For me, that really feels like the only way to play a third person shooter with a mouse and keyboard, and due to growing up on PC, I really can't play games on controller, I get hand cramps way too fast with most controllers. Though, I understand this is almost certainly a fairy uncommon opinion, because most people likely didn't grow up playing games on PC. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the developers you had worked with, worrying a similar place (though obviously with SRB2 instead of a hat in time)

for me i think i'm fine without the homing attack, but i think it would just slow down the game because of u losing momentum, some mods for srb2 have a homing attack that doesn't do that but most official sonic games and games that have a very similar concept usually have that problem, and i think sonic's default srb2 just makes more sense for a sonic game

Potentially dumb question that may be too long for a single youtube comment, but how do you launch with the customsave.soc as the default version?

You have to pass a command line option to the srb2.exe. You can either make a batch file, or you can add srb2.exe to Steam and then add them to the "launch options." For the batch file, just create a text file in the same directory as your srb2.exe, but name it something like "customsave.bat." Open it in notepad, and write something similar to this: srb2.exe -file mod1.pk3 mod2.pk3 customsave.soc Where you substitute mod1, mod2 etc. with whatever your mod files are. Just make sure customsave.soc is at the very end, after all your other mods load. So for example, I'd have a batch file with srb2.exe -file VCL_ModernSonic-V5.11.pk3 Mario-v1.2.3.pk3 AdvSonic-v1.4b.pk3 CL_Xtreme-v1.4.1.pk3 AdventureMonitors-v4.1.pk3 SAExplosions-v1.pk3 customsave.soc Save your batch file and then double click to launch that instead of srb2.exe. If you're launching SRB2 through steam, just drop the "-file mod1.pk3 mod2.pk3 customsave.soc" bit in the launch options field.

It may be worth mentioning but I believe they've said a future SRB2 version will do away with the need for customsave.soc and it'll let you save with mods enabled by default.
