Not anyone can sing these two very difficult songs. Regine's iconic voice and lungs are so powerful and cannot be overshadowed by a full orchestra and 50 man choral. She delivered it with full emotions, clarity and elegance. And to think that it was her 15th number or so for that night. She is truly amazing and magnificent.

It’s difficult to sing in open field - the wind can dry your airway plus the pressure is stronger- the frequency is not as stable when it’s indoor, with an orchestra and chorale she did this with excellence and consistency!!!!

+Ynigo Mic I thought I was the only one who thinks it. So true.. such a technical singer, knows very well her tonality and skyhigh range and when how to use it, channeling deeper emotions in a very womanly subtle fashion... I'm not a big fan of her but with these type of songs, I was blown away... I thought she's just a "birit" songstress - hollachaboi she can deliver to the elitists too... Hands down RVA,!!!! should I say I miss u?! peace!

Or she definitely has to be a bit more technical because the performance of the whole orchestra including the chorale is at risk if she made a huge mistake. 😀

She is one of the best vocalist of all time. She isn't a songwriter or anything but a master vocalist and interpreter. No one bashes Bette Midler, Barbra, Whitney, Celine for covering or singing songs other wrote(for them) so they shouldn't bash Regine

R2K (2000) concert made her head and shoulders above competition, but this particular One Night with Regine (2002) concert made Regine so untouchable and cemented her status as a Queen and Icon who will reign over the music industry for years to come. I remember this being critically acclaimed here and abroad. To think that this was just a fundraising concert for Bantay Bata! This also heightened talks of Regine's transfer to ABSCBN so much that GMA had to produce a concert to match it for her (One Enchanting Songbird).

Regine did this concert to raise funds for the Children's Village construction in her hometown Bulacan. The Children's Village is one of the legacies of Ms. Gina. I’ve seen a lot of people rave about her performance of A Piece of Sky, specially in her Songbird sings Streisand show because of the high note at the end BUT her performance here of Papa Can You Hear Me is the best performance she’s done ever of a Streisand song. She made it her own as if it’s her story.
