Great way to practice pairing melody and chords! The B11 root note sounds awesome with the high e. 7:08.

Wow, I love KZbin. Where else can you get this quality of insight from a down to earth guy who is a marquee player. Thank you!

Great Lesson Rob :) Thank You :) I wonder one day if you could talk about funk chord inversions and mini chords? Like what you played on "Little L" ... Great Channel Mate... :)

Great video as always fella. Always take value from your playing and words. Thank you. I also bought a Nano Cortex last week (controversial!) - I had a small gig and wanted to have a simple set up. I used your Div13 FTR37 capture and it sounded KILLER! I really wanted that funk clean for some Nile stuff and it couldn't have sounded better! Thank you for making it available and your output. Now go enjoy that cold beer!!!

Hello, Rob….is the foire warmer or brighter than a strat std us please ? I am about to sell my Maybach Lester to get one . Thanks a lot 🙏☺️. Cheers from a French fan 🇫🇷🥰

Hey. I apologise but I actually am not that familiar with the American STD. The only thing I can suggest is try both. All guitars vary anyway. Good luck.

Great to hear you are making progress on the Jamiroquai record, I hope Paul is playing the baselines.... 😉 ( you didn't mention him being in the studio )

We've just been writing so not full band sessions at the moment.

I suppose the leading notes before landing on the chord note also influence the vibe of the chord choice
@LuiyoSAАй бұрын
like, that melody ending with the Dm9, landing on the 9th, feels so bossa nova vibe
@RobHarrisGuitarАй бұрын
Absolutely correct. Without being all hippy like about it. Even type of day you're having can lead you to make those choices too. That's the cool bit. What you listened to and found inspiration from can make you go a different way too. Endless possibilitie.

Rob, how did you initially learn music theory ? Cheers

Hi Rob, can I ask you about the new work with Jay? Do you think your compositions are better or Equal to the previous album?
@RobHarrisGuitarАй бұрын
Hah. That's a crazy question. Only the listener can decide that. So much is based on preference and one's own opinion.

@@RobHarrisGuitar I'll let you know when the new album will come out 😎💪but I'm sure you have overpassed yourself

Can you record a writing and recording session with Jay? I've watched what has been posted on KZbin, but would love to see more..like a full day...lol
@RobHarrisGuitarАй бұрын
That won't happen i'm afraid. That stuff needs to be kept quiet until release time :)
