That’s a sweet lil guitar mate. I’d imagine it’ll be great for recording eg doubling parts played on a bigger dreadnought for texture. And also for what you’re using it for now, travel. Very cool

Hey Nick. Absolutely, already used it on a few recordings. Very nice sounding instrument for a travel guitar.

The fact you’ve never heard of Furch guitars makes me love even more.. they’ve been on everybody’s radar lately but as far as I can tell, most of us nowadays spend more time shopping for new toys rather than giggin’😂

Thanks of all your thoughts and the way you present them. Regarding AI I see it similar as you. I can’t imagine AI will substitute a good live band. All the happy (and sometimes unhappy) accidents and the dynamic between the musicians might be programmable - but who will be on stage then? Screens showing heads like Ed Snowden? Don’t know…

Hello Rob! What can you tell us about the recording sessions at Chillington? Is there a specific goal as to what the sound of the album is gonna be like? They all have different flavours.

Robben Ford use the shoulder of the pick too. Pat Metheny also uses the side of the pick, but in his case he uses picks with a kind of a triangle shape. I use the shoulder too. Actually, I alternate between normal and shoulder + fingerstyle, and, yes, I suck in all those techniques. 🙂

Damn, I’d never thought you were a Jazz III guy. With all that strumming? That is thick for funk. But you sound great so apparently it works! Never thought the difference of the attack would be so different om tape either.

Great stuff! After 40 odd years of playing, I find that I am playing less and less and getting more and more out of the guitar. I almost always use two note harmony chords when playing with a group for all the reasons you have discussed.

can you do a video on how to play the guitar to high tunes. It is one of me and my bands favourite Jamiroquai songs and I haven't been able to find a good tab online.

Gibson - more mid juice, which is an advantage. But to be honest both are amazing instruments and sound top.notch.
