When i was just three we went to orlando. See we live in miami so it was a 4 hour trip to sea world and i can still remember a glimpse of the show. Those were good times, i loved orlando. I grew up with disney, universal, and seaworld.

Boo they need to bring back the original sea world believe show I went to watch it when I was younger and was so inspirational and I had always wanted to become one of shamu's trainers and swim with them. The closes I got was stroking the wale and also feeding shamu's for my birthday.

It least the trainers are safe and not doing direct water work with the whales. I thought a barrier had to be between them and the whales so when they are on the part with water on it, they are grounded but there is no barrier......I thought OSHA made it a rule after 2010. Its a nice show. Amazing to someone like me who has never witnessed it and probably never will.......just makes you wonder.

you know how people discriminate sea world so much? well i don't think this one in orlando is that bad, because every other sea world, all the orcas fins are bent over, which most people believe means that they are unhealthy, or sad. But in orlando, from what i can see from watching these shows on youtube, all of the orcas fins are straight up. Which makes me think that orlando actually takes very good care of these whales, and keeps them very happy as well.

When I went in march 2015 there wasnt a barrier. The platform where the whales hop up on and the trainers are standing extremely close to the whales hugging them etc...definitely not a smart idea but luckily nothing happened.

Artificial environment is far better for animals. There are lots of hazards waiting for the captive animals returning to nature. Actually, it is the worst idea to return them to nature, because it is extremely irresponsible and cruel to do so. They no longer have the necessary skills to survive in the harsh environment in nature. Lots of them will starve to death, or even worse, such as killed by other predators or poachers. You can hardly imagine how painful it is for animals to starve or being sick. No one will offer them food or medical care in the wild, so they are at the mercy of their environment. Lots of animal rights people claim captive animals are deprived of their rights by human. But do animals have rights in nature? They will face more cruelty such as killed in a violent fight with their own species. Or even worse, mutilated or lacerated by predators. Watch more documentaries, then you will learn animals' lives are extremely hard in nature, and lots of them can barely survive to adulthood. In nature, aging is another curse for wild animals, because they will lose their ability to survive. Aging predators will starve to death as they are not able to catch their prey. Even for herbivores, they will lose their ability to flee from danger, and they can hardly compete with their own kind for food and territory to survive. What is worse, worn out organs and body parts will constantly cause pain and lead to an excruciating death. Animals suffer more in nature than in artificial environment. With human care, they can get better health care and do not need to worry about their next meal. And they are less likely to get hurt by human, because there are lots of poachers in nature! Some traps set by poachers can severely compromise their health, and it makes their lives in hell! Do not assume that animals in nature will not be hurt by human. The pollutant people left behind will harm their health, and sometimes it is fatal. Lots of creatures will be crashed by ships or automobiles, which lead to a extremely painful death. Urbanization and expansion of human activity means lots of wild animals are losing their habitat and their sources of food. Nature is by no means a paradise for wild animals, they must fight hard to survive. It is really hypocritical to leave captive animals to die in nature, and how could animal rights people call it 'love' for animals?
