Its a high end product and as with any high end product there is diminishing returns for your dollar. Meaning you pay hefty premium for improvement in taste.

It’s a wonderful Cognac but for me the Paradis Extra reigned supreme. Smoother & less busy. But…… that’s not to take anything away from the Richard……. Entirely subjective.

Anybody who buys this is a mark! Hennessy adds coloring and “Boise” to make their Cognac look & taste older. Once the spirit has aged the alcohol content drops so younger Eau-de-vies have to be added. You’re making Hennessy even richer by paying for fancy packaging. Spend 10x less and get a few bottles of actual 50 year old Cognac that tastes just as good without added coloring or flavoring.
