This was a great conversation. And yes, right at the end it's exactly what you're saying. (Paraphrasing) "It has to be better than whatever your surroundings are to get you through the monotony of your day" yes. To me, it's that parasicial relationship. I'm pretty much home bound and doing all sorts of cooking and cleaning all day. It's boring as hell. I feel like I'd love to sit down and chat with other adults that have cool insights, good music and movie recommendations, or teach me something/make me think. Much cooler than the sound of the dishes being washed 😂

@@dougstewart6461 lol you weren’t saying anything too insightful to begin with. I just replied because it’s funny. I agree, Neal seems arrogant, and I don’t think I would agree with him in conversation…., But he’s an aging comedian, why are you expecting anything other than just some bullshittin? “he thinks not questioning narratives makes him smart ” is simplistic, at best. Yeah, of course you need to question your belief & popular narratives to grow as a person. No shit. Anyway, this dude already had a successful career, he’s cozy in his beliefs. Now I’m assuming you’re much younger than him (i hope), so why u feel the need to psychoanalyze him to other fags online? 🤔 Do you think he has some serious political influence or something? Cuz i really doubt it. I just laughed at his obvious boomer opinions and enjoyed the episode :-)

Soder is truly a comic genius. His reflexive throw away reaction comments are even abstract but perfect as analogies. Dude just without thinking responds, "your mom gave birth to you the way assassins put together guns." like that's so perfect, it fits so well, but it's also not obvious, and this dude just say it off the cuff. Like that's a full stand up bit. He even included the act out, and it was just reflex. Am I overreacting? That was nuts to me.
