Im not sure how wide the range on ult is, but maeve ult only works within a range, so Im not sure those couple time you dismounted to ult and save someone you actually affected the people on point.

Nine Lives used to Cleanse on activation. Since Cauterize is no longer an "effect" but just a passive mechanic now, it can't be cleansed. Also, they removed the cleanse from her base kit and moved it into a talent where in the also ended up removing the talent. So you're not crazy, just old. :P

That was her old talent, Artful Dodger. At first, it made it so Nine Lives cleansed, removed CC, and healed you for 400. Eventually they removed the debuff cleanse and allowed it to remove CC only. Eventually it was removed and at the same time they added the 400 heal from the talent into the base verion of Nine Lives. So there was never a version of base Nine Lives that cleansed and healed for 400 by default unless your were running Artful Dodger. There was an older version from the Beta that healed for more. Btw, Cauterize might be a passive mechanic now, but it's still an active effect applied by weapon fire. It, like all status debuffs in Paladins, is removed by going Ethereal/'cleansing'. It can be cleansed just fine. This is pretty important when playing champs like Damba and Grohk, who can cleanse themselves inside a pool of their own healing.
