Highschool of the dead might be going out of print three of the volumes are no longer available in rightstuf and Amazon and on eBay are quite pricey the colored editions are currently out of stock in rightstuf had to spend quite a bit on the colored editions.

Yeah, I am thinking the same thing! The individual volumes seem to be on their way to going out of print, because certain volumes are now no longer available. Omnibus 2 is in stock on Barnes and Noble the last time I looked, but omnibus 1 is out of stock, expecting more on sites, so that one is definitely harder to get!

Yes D.Gray-Man is extremely underrated is probably one of my favorite Shonen's.

With the volumes I've read so far, it feels like its going to be a favorite of mine as well and I really can't believe how underrated it is. I'll make sure I highlight the series in a future video because it deserves more love for sure!

@@AnimeCollective I plan on getting more volumes myself. I now re-watch the anime the first season not the Hallow one because Hallow is extremely rushed. I still recommend Hallow anime after you finish the D.Gray-Man manga. I'm now digital I read until volume 20 because I plan on getting volume 20-27 so 7 volumes next month. That's why I didn't read those chapters online. D.Gray-Man is actually a part of my "childhood" (if you conside 15yo old a childhood because I watched other shows befor) and although I stopped reading or watching it I came back recently best time because you also found it and you like it what is great to see. Is a little bit sad that the mangaka has some health problems and so D.Gray-Man gets a new chapter every 3-4 months. I hope the mangaka gets better well I still have a lot chapters manga volumes to read to catch up. I also bought and got recently the D.Gray-Man illustration book NOCHE. It has a lot of great double page art a dust cover and although it also has a lot of volume cover art the art inside the book is MUCH LARGER because of the taller bigger page size and more sharper image the art really stands out. So although you have the early volumes I still recommend that artbook and how I said it has some NEW art you can't find in your single volume tankobon's. I like the art style is a combination of old and new a combination of vintage and new and it fits so well considering that the manga is placed in the 19th century.

That's awesome to hear that you are going to pick up more volumes! I have yet to check out the anime, but I'll definitely check out it out after hearing what you had to say about it. It is awesome that the chapters are available on the Shonen Jump app. Since so many of the volumes are oos right now, I may have to go ahead and read digitally as well since I'm really into the story and will get impatient haha Awesome to hear your connection to D.Gray-man and that it's something you grew up with! Those series always hold a special place. For me it was Naruto but wish I would have got into other shonen like D.Gray-man early on! I recently read about Katsura Hoshino's health and really hope she gets and feels better soon! The illustration book looks beautiful. I recently discovered one artbook while searching for D.Gray-Man art prints, but didn't know about the NOCHE one. That's awesome that you picked it up! I also discovered some prints from the The World of Hoshino Katsura Exhibition that I'd love to get some day, but man they are pricey! I will definitely check out the artbook. Thank you so much for letting me know about it because I really enjoy the art style as well!

I have a lot in my backlog to be honest! But I run a website about manga and anime so I read a lot throughout the day but I also read a lot after work as well, so that helps me chip away at my backlog! I'm also someone who likes a lot of things to pick from when I want to read a new series, so I end up getting a lot of different manga haha I still think 28 per month is a lot of reading and you chose three great ones to get into!

Yes, I did see that! If it's chapters that Miura had completed that were yet to be published, I'm all for it. There are those that worked very closely to him though that could continue his legacy and I would love to see it carried on but at the same time his shoes are impossible to fill, so I find myself going back and forth about it as well. Also I wanted to thank you for recommending Ajin to me! Gave you a shoutout in the video because I finally picked it up. Excited to get into it!

A manga that I would recommend for you since you like mecha and gory stuff is “All You Need Is Kill” by Ryōsuke Takeuchi cause it has the best of both worlds.

Yeah the prices are okay I guess but more the new manga more the price goes up , like if you wanna buy a manga that just came out then it will cost you a good amount but surprisingly older mangas are pretty cheap like berserk or even trigun or hellsing those don’t cost much , there are a lot of older shops here that have been running since like 15 to 20 years so by any chance if you come to nepal you’ll probably get a bunch of rare or old mangas. ❤️

Hey, I recently found your KZbin channel as I've become interested in starting a manga collection. With every website I check it seems a lot of manga is out of stock so I was wondering is it better to wait for restock? Or to pay for out of stock items on rightstuf and hope they reprint the editions eventually?

Hey! That's awesome to hear that you are starting a manga collection and I know how you feel with the out of stock manga. This has been prevalent more and more due to the current state of things as well as supply chain issues, so most series aren't of concern especially if they were recently serialized. If something says out of stock, expecting more, I usually just place an order for them on Right Stuf to get an order in for the volumes. More cases than not, this means that they'll be able to get more stock from the publisher, but there are some cases where they will reach out and be told that something is no longer in print, but this is something I've only had an issue with with series that have been in print for quite some time. Hope that helps!

I feel you there! I was concerned about the larger billy's shelves bowing overtime as I got more Deluxe Editions. I wanted Berserk front and center in my collection so I ended up picking up the 15 3/4x11x79 1/2" billy instead of the larger one, so I can put all of the heavier volumes on those smaller, more sturdy shelves. I had all of the Berserk, Hellsing, and Blade of the Immortal volumes on one shelf at a time before though, but we put it on the center shelf since it's sturdier than the rest, and the shelf seemed to be holding up well.

Yeah, I haven't had any issues! The only thing is that the thinner billy bookcase ones only fit 7 volumes of the Berserk Deluxe Editions on a shelf, so if you are okay with them not all being on one shelf it's a great option for heavier volumes! And it's the same height as the larger billy, so they look good next to one another if you already have one of those. And thank you! You too!

I usually budget out and have an idea what I'm in for month to month, but these past few have been harder to predict with stuff going back in stock and then half price hauls are unpredictable as well. Quick answer though; I run a website about anime and manga for my full-time job on top of doing the channel and Brad is in tech. Helps that we both can pool our incomes together since we are into the same hobbies, which is a double-edged sword sometimes cause there's no one to rein us in haha
