The series is about how everyone who attempts to be king and is not a good king dies. Not that he wouldn’t have been the one who made most to be a good king. On that I agree, but his errors were assuming his allies would be as honourable as he, he did not account for betrayal and political scheming of the others enough, and didn’t trust his advisors (like his mother) enough, and for that he died. And because Tywin Lannister promised to protect and pay the asshole who broke a thousands+ year tradition that once you serve someone food and wine under your roof they are under your protection. Still salty about that one. Everyone loves Tywin even though he’s responsible for more than 20k people dying horrible deaths, not at war, but sleeping in their beds, or trapped in a keep. Charles dance makes it hard not to love him, but in the books specifically he’s much darker. Somewhat similar to how in the books, Roose is worse than Ramsey.

As horrific and dishonorable as the red wedding was, Tywin saw an opportunity to end the war. 20k soldiers killed dishonorably in one night or 150k+ soldiers, women and children killed in a protracted war and seige of king's landing. The truth is that no matter what Rob's claim for justice/vengeance, innocent common folk on both sides would die and the realm as whole would suffer greatly in a long war. The books are about the hubris of the few creating hell for the many and Tywin caring not for tradition and only for his house name made a choice that had the potential to preserve house lannister and save thousands that had nothing to do with Joffreys injustice or Rob's Justice.

@@malgtuzi5020 yeah, he was my favourite too. Whenever he appeared in the screen, I would get very attentive. I used to react to everything in first three seasons but after he died, I stopped reacting because what was the point. I also didn’t know if I should continue or not. He was smart, brave, leader, fighter and a lot of other things. Really disappointed he died. Also, the fact that he has zero POV in the books. Like seriously. I hope in the upcoming novels, GRRM would include flashbacks of Robb and his dire wolf because I want to see them together with their siblings. His dialogues were perfect too. The way he responded to everyone’s insults, had my jaw on the floor. I love the part where he says, ‘he was the watcher, hang him last so he can watch the rest of them dying.’ I was in LOVE with the mother and son relationship between Robb and Catelyn. They were so good. I hope we get more of their flashbacks in the books in the future. I feel like he was her favourite child. He was so powerful that even GRRM said that he had to kill him for the sake of the plot or else he would’ve won the war and there wouldn’t be more books or more seasons. He also regrets not giving him any POVs after he watched how good Richard played the character. He is my favourite character but I am happy that he died before season 7 and 8. They should’ve killed him in season 4 or 5 but anyway. If he was alive till the end of the show, I feel like the writers would’ve ruined him too like the rest of the characters. He was such a badass and he died that way. People cried when he died and he was remembered as the king in the north and his revenge was taken. I know he would’ve been an amazing ruler but I think the writers would’ve made him like Danny. They would’ve made him cruel and un honourable. I mean now everyone says only good stuff about him and the people in season 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, they all remembered him as the king in the north and he made his father proud. The only thing that saddens me is that we didn’t get scenes of him fighting in the battles he went. Like the battle he captured Jaime Lannister. It would’ve been so cool seeing them both fight. Also, we needed scenes of Grey wind and Robb fighting together and grey wind protecting him and robb taking care of him. They both started their journey together and they both died together in the same day. I was crying a lot after he died and I was crying whenever I saw an edit of him and catelyn. I was sobbing. I still am traumatised by the wolf’s head as if I was there and I saw it up close. I am surprised that Arya never talked about that later on because she was there and saw it.

His brothers in the North when he thought his best friend killed them, and his brother Jon, who was at the Wall and couldn't come help him even if he wanted too, because then Robb would be forced to execute Jon, for leaving his post. His mother should have stayed in the North and guarded it for him, but she was an idiot. Robb was alone. But God was he a pretty good tactician. If his people had just listened to him, and his mother not promised him to a lowly Frey bitch, he would have won the war. You could be surprised. My grand mother had two dogs, small size like 25 pounds, all white, can’t remember the race. All I know is that they were super soft and couldn’t care less who was in the house. They were sleeping most of the time. They were 11 years old when someone broke in once at night, like 10PM. Both dogs nearly killed the dude. My grandma called the ambulance and without the call he would have died right there in the hall floor. She took pictures of the dogs, they were both pure red, no white to be seen. I’m telling you, dogs feel what you are feeling and will give their life to defend you. You just happen to never had been close to anything related to danger, which by the way is great. Don’t worry, your dog will show up if you really need him.

Tywin is by far my favorite character in the show but I earnestly believe had Tywin had the opportunity to meet Robb in person, perhaps observe how he operated, he would have realized that Robb would have been the example of the son he wish he had. In fact, who's to say that Tywin wouldn't have rathered the Stark children having been his offspring rather than the three he was delt.

@@somepeoplecanthandlethetruth In short: he knew nothing. Targaryen bloodline? How do you know? Because his best friend and weird brother say so? No one would believe him and he doesn't have dragons to prove it. Most people and noblemen would regard him the Stark bastard he always was. Moreover he lacked political ambition, self-confidence, decisiveness, cunningness needed to win the game of thrones. He was a courageous warrior and a passionate commander (not a particularly smart one tho), but never a politician, never a strategist and more importantly never truly saw himself a man worthy of ruling a kingdom. Why would others believe otherwise? People always forced him into leadership positions in times of crisis but he never commanded people like a king not even after becoming the king of the north. He is a lone wolf in the "snow", not a dragon on the throne leave him alone people.

@@somepeoplecanthandlethetruth of course but only in a childish fantasy. Let me guess, a selfless benevolent but badass romantic hero who is too noble to have any kind of ambition or greed but is forced to accept the throne and defend his people? What a load of CRAPPP. (no offense) There is no such thing as a ruler without an ambition for power. (maybe a useless poppet king) We live in a machiavellian world where Ned Starks get beheaded before even drawing their sword. There is nothing inherently immoral about wanting to be powerful it's about how you wield power and its consequences for your people that distinguishes good leaders and power-hungry tyrants. Beside qualification and competence for the job, it is ruler's vision for the future of the country and political ambitions that defines state of the country and its populace. Jon would make a great loyal commander for a good king but more than that I can't imagine. Do you think a warrior who doesn't want to have anything to do with power struggles and court politics can lead a kingdom?
