I am a kayak fisherman. So I am usually trolling with lipless as I move from point A to point B and I almost always catch them like that. Love the 6 sense quake 70’s.

The jackall tn60 is an awesome bait for smallmouth. I've caught a lot of nice fish on it slow rolling it, yoyo fishing it, and using a lift and drop. I have one of those tn60 trigon versions in purple and chartreuse that is all beat to hell from getting wrecked by smallies 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Love to fish lipless and blade baits!! I yo-yo, drag, and straight retrieve the baits…if I hit grass, I’ll pump/rip the bait out and get strikes that way too…..The Jackall TN70 one knock is my fav lipless because it rarely ever tumbles over itself to snag your main line when yo-yo’ing or pumping/ripping the bait hard….. Don’t overlook a Spro Aruku Shad….it’s a killer bait and comes in various sizes! A little tip….if you’re throwing lipless in thicker brush, grass, or wood….cut the downward barb off your trebles to make them more stealthy…you’ll hang up less…or try single inline hooks…fish stay remarkably well hooked on a single inline.

Caught my PB in the dead of winter using a lipless and the yo-yo retrieve. Gold red-eye shad. Love seeing these JDM options instead of the usual suspects in the lipless world.

I’m got all my marbles in the TN 70 basket! Never had much luck using lipless baits until about 2 years ago I bought and tried a regular TN70 in the super Shad color and absolutely slayed largemouth, smallmouth, and walleye one day in the fall! Been hooked on em since. My biggest largemouth of the year was caught on one 3 weeks ago! Weighed exactly 5 lbs.

Hey Ben how about a video on reels and gear ratio and what baits to throw on em and how line size matters for different baits? Thanks for keeping us informed with these videos, good job and keep ‘em coming!💪🏽

Thank God the Simcoe is on here, that's an ice fishing killer, the way it swims on the fall, fantastic for vertical jigging, plus it's silent. But you Arizona boys probably don't do much of that ice fishing crap lmao.

I wish companies would offer half off or some kinda discount if you show you've worn the paint off. Sucks shipping costs so much. I'd like to be able to ship them back to them and have them repaint them. Although I'm sure the wear would probably change the profile .
@JonJonsOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
@@seasgarage I’ve actually learned to repaint them myself. I just started my own line of baits and have been airbrushing for a few years. If your willing to spend a bit up front you can learn to do it.

Sneaky tip MDJ dropped take off the back hook, replace the front with an ewg treble and you can flip/pitch it into lay downs or around wood and is way way less snaggy. 50% of my lift and drop/dragging now hav 1 ewg and if I’m just casting it will have both round bends

That 7’1’’ MH Valkyrie rod sounds like a great option for lipless and some mid/shallow cranks. Do you have a more budget friendly option? Thanks for the video Ben!

Sorry this is off the subject but Look for a hook to use with the Scooper frog. I was thinking a 1/0 EWG but when I got the frogs I fond that that was to big of a hood could you let me know if you have a good hook to use with them. or if you have a Size 1 EWG hook . Thanks Jason

The good thing about lipless baits is that you don't have to spend a arm and leg on a bait that will catch fish. In my 50 years of fishing.Ive caught hundreds on the original Rattle trap.
