Game is fun. I wasn't convinced in early access but you got me to buy it. Just binged 6 hours into it. Just a little bit too easy so far. I played 4 runs, going up in difficulty by 1 each time and won them all. I'm so used to these games kicking my ass in the beginning and kinda like it that way.

The reason you couldn't use "symbol of monstrosity" was because it needed 5 stacks for each enemy unit, so when the enemy has 6 units you would need to see a total of 30 cursed units in the shop to use it

When I see "This video is sponsored by [Game]", I know I'm about to hear how it's the greatest game ever, even if you'd probably roast it otherwise, and I start reaching for the skip button like it's a reflex!

As a policy I don't roast games, because I'd rather put my time and energy into games I like instead. And in my case sponsorships are almost entirely so developers can reserve an upload slot + ask for extra talking points that I might not otherwise bring up. There were 6? new releases in the past two days that I wanted to cover, and this let T&T potentially cut in line. I won't deny sponsorships can and will cause me to sand off some of my sharper critiques for some games, but if it's a bad game I'd rather cancel the deal instead. Sponsorship aside, I do actually like Tales & Tactics, as it has the same vibes and mechanical complexity of Teamfight Tactics, but with rogue-like progression and without the people, both of which are huge perks for me.

As the developer who did the sponsorship in this case, I can assure you, the language of sponsorship is never that of "you must compliment the game". In fact, we've sponsored people that really didn't enjoy it and didn't hide that fact in their content. As Wander said, you're not paying for a mouthpiece, you're paying to reserve a timeslot, to try to coordinate a wave of media happening at exactly the same time. When a lot of people are all talking about or covering a game at the same time, it helps to create algorithm influence and viral spread, as opposed to creators drip-feeding their coverage over months when they have time to get to it.
