by the way, a lot of flash games have been saved by "flashpoint". it's a big initiative to keep accessible as many games as possible.

I'm glad things like that exist. Flash games were really important to me when I was still in school.

Don't Escape 4 was my favorite. But from the original trilogy, I liked Don't Escape 2 best, because it had so many ways to finish the game. In fact, I did so many experiments to see what I can do.

I love when you talk about mystic games and such. Your deep voice and the way you edit just makes it so atmospheric.

It's been literal years since I played any of these, but man, I remember loving them. Third Don't Escape was the one I remember the most of them, but even that's kinda vague recollection at this point....Didn't know they had a release on steam though, so i'll hit that up.

Speaking of not well known flash games, there is this one called "no-one has to die" that is more of an interactive fiction rather than a proper adventure, but still has one very memorable plot line

Thanks for watching, ya'll! Let me know what ya think of the new video, and if you've played these games before, let me know how you like them!

OH! I remember the don't escape games! they were cool subversions of the escape the room games, a big subgenre of early/mid flash era

been one of my favorite game devs for years. Can't wait for him to release the new deep sleep game he's currently working on.

also if you are like me and horror isn't your jam, Scriptwelder also made several fantastic non-spooky games. My recommendations are"400 years" about saving humanity as a slow-moving statue, and my favorite "A small Talk at the back of beyond" which has some unsettling vibes, but I would say is mostly meloncoly. It gave me emotions about chess!

Now I know where SomeOrdinaryGamers got his intro music lol. I don't know why, but these sorts of horror tracks(you and your friend's game's music included) sounds beautiful to me. Even Year Walk with how eerie and siren-like the music is(I say that as I feel like the music both pulls you in with it's beauty but can very quickly thrust the danger it hides in your face too) so beautiful that I love it more than fear it. Not to say horror game music can't scare me, or horror themed music in general. Also having seen quite a few White Chamber playthroughs(highly recommend it since you love Don't Escape 3 the most & Scifi Horror), I knew the twist even without playing it lol. Both games start very similarly eerily enough.

fun fact, the dont escape game set in space has lore tied to one of his FIRST games,a top down car shooter where you collect crystals, the ending shows why stuff happend the way it did

This guy's output looks interesting as hell! His horror stuff especially reminds me of Yames, another indie me myself like.
