Him being in it really starts to give scale to the size. Wow

The skimmer overflowing.. Aww the bane of all reefers, we all know that feeling.

Wow, amazing. I believe this is a first for in-tank interviews. At least for me

Such an awesome tank

At 10:52 - A couple of small pulley wheels on the light hang cables, rather than rubbing on the eyelets would make me sleep alot better at night.. Stunning tank though! Congrats.

Yes, I’m not really happy with the light rack. At some point this year I think I’ll redo it.

How much water did you have to take out before you got in to not overflow it?
@jlstacey511 сағат бұрын
Fortunately there’s enough space in the sump that I didn’t need to drain any

I have a question about heating that monster tank, I saw a boiler in the video next to the tank is that boiler attached to a titanium heat exchanger to heat the water. Only reason I believe that’s the case as normal heaters I don’t believe would be able to cope with that volume of water.
@jlstacey52 күн бұрын
The titanium heater is actually for the kids pool 😂. I just use four standard aquarium titanium heaters.

It is ridiculously big aquarium for a hobby. May be good for fish , corals and water stability but I don't want to dive in for maintaining it 😮

It is a challenge! 🙈😂

I would NOT be brave enough to step INTO a reef tank 😂

I cant imagine doing a waterchange on that beastie, how much does he dose?
@jlstacey52 күн бұрын
I currently dose 1.5L of Alk solution as well as 7.7L of Kalk per day 👍🏻

@@jlstacey5 Wow, thanks do you water change?

Does he not buff out the scratches?
@jlstacey52 күн бұрын
I haven’t done yet but I’m planning on doing it this year. The only place I can find online that does a kit with a magnet big enough is Mighty Magnet in the US and it’s not cheap!

@ Mate I think you’ll see a gigantic difference once you do this, might leave you a little more positive re acrylic..

I want to get one of similar size. Looks like I'm getting divorced then 😅

My opinion he wouldn’t be able to put that 2 by 4 on top of the tank to lay on if it wasn’t an acrylic tank! He can always get it buffed and polished like I’ve done on my 10 foot acrylic tank that looks almost better than glass.
@jlstacey52 күн бұрын
I’d be really interested on how you went about buffing yours??
@Chrish_Fish2 күн бұрын
@@jlstacey5 there is a machine which you can rent which uses a bubbler and a pad to buff the inside the aquarium. I used a similar one as which polo reef used. Which I think they have a video showing how it’s done. And the outside I just had a professional company come out to cut and buff the outside of the aquarium to make it spotless! hope this helps on some research!!

Nice tank but all the coral are very common mid grade low priced stuff. I like the tanks that have high end acros and LPS.
