Honestly just based on preference. I normally use d pad for 2d games but since I use the pro controller I use the left stick. I will say the dpad is a little more precise for me but you can get used to the L stick just fine

I get the whole stream sniping thing, but i think its a bit harsh to assume it always is, half the time i do uncleared levels someone gets it before me, that kind of stuff is what has led to people getting banned from online games because they killed a streamer, anytime the streamer dies they say “oh my god stream snipers” when they dont want to except it could just be someone else who can play the game, and if the streamers big enough, the “stream snipers” can get banned, with no proof besides them killing a streamer

In my opinion, i think people trying to beat the levels are a good thing. You got a small start boost because of the stream delay, but they still add preasure and rewards you for being quick and efficient.
