It’s the perfect watch for someone with OCD like me. I seldom get to enjoy the finer things in life as I have an obsessive fear of scratching, dinging, dropping or scrapping it in my day to day routine. With this watch I can freely carry out all my tasks knowing that if it breaks, I can afford to buy a new one the very next day. In a way, it gives me the assurance and comfort that I’m desperately longing for and that’s not what a Rolex or Oris can provide me with.

My favorite G-Shock is currently on my wrist: GW9400. Its my daily wear watch, replacing another G-Shock. Ive always had a G-Shock, since middle school, and will probably always have one.

suggestion: G-Shock GW-M5610-1ER! has all the bells&whistles the DW has, plus solar power, and is radio controlled to boot. It's not that much more expensive than the DW! One of my to-go watches when travelling. Oh, and congrats for 30.000! Keep up the good work and next stop will be 50.000 in 3 months ;)

The DW5600e-1v is my daily wear. I live in this watch and don’t know what I’d do without it! The only time I take it off is for the occasional event requiring a bit more curb appeal. Love the channel!

Just ordered the dw5600e-1v from amazon warehouse, waiting for it to come in on Friday. Quite excited to have a g-shock in my collection. Such a classic design. NASA certified for space. Ran over by a nearly 25 ton truck and survived no issues

My favorite G Shock is the MTG-M900DA-8CR. I only bought it because it was on the clearance rack for only $45! I couldn't pass it up. It quickly became my favorite G and also one of my favorite watches to wear, because it is so comfortable! I was able to get a very precise fit on my wrist with the micro adjustments on the clasp.

T3 you nailed it. I think this model and my Casio DW6900-1v are my favourite all around G-shock models for their simplicity and relaibility. I always get a comment from other G-shock fans when I have my squares on.

I never liked G-shock... That changed when I got my hands on a DW5600BB. Fitment is awsome! I really like the minimalistic look and the negative display. Makes the watch so clean! They retail pretty high in the Netherlands though..

I have and love the GW6900. I am an HVAC tech and avid weightlifter and wear this thing daily! It still has a small case sizing but added solar capability and atomic clock. Got it for less than $70

Just got a GW5900-1 as my first G-Shock and I couldn’t be happier with this thing. I looked into the DW5600 because of its retro look but elected to go with the “three eye” atomic + solar feature set instead. Getting the GW5900-1 for ~$70 is just a steal for what your get. I have no doubt that the DW5600 is the same. I’d suggest reviewing the GW5900 because of those features i mentioned earlier. Cheers!

I got the GW-M5610, just the extra piece of mind of Tough Solar so I don't need to think about batteries. Also for the 24hr stopwatch, 24hr CDT and Multiband time signal. I'm pretty tempted by the stainless version Casio will be knocking out, not so much the gold-tone version. My favourite is the AWG-M100A, subtle blue bezel, incredible detail work on the dial, and even the lume is blue. Watching the hands adjust themselves twice a year for daylight savings is something I'm geeky enough to stay up for.

I've broken 3 g shocks. They definitely didnt owe me anything though and they all broke in stupid ways. My favorite would do a full blown alarm every hour and it couldn't be turned off. Still kept time, but damn. Hid it in the ceiling of my friends bedroom Haha. I may try one of these.

One of my daily beaters in rotation is my GA100. I paid $70 for it at a NEX in Tokyo 2 years ago. It has been covered in mud, oil , dirt and grease and it all just washes off to reveal the watch still looks new and gains about 3 seconds a month 😮. Seriously love it and if you are into timing shit it has a 1/1000 second stop watch for some insane reason lol. Great great great watch. My GST310 is also cool even though you don't like the gsteel lol 🤣

Back in the early 1980's the Casio DW 5600 was the watch to own and wear as a US Navy officer on a ship. It was perfect for so many functions. After I left the military, I continued to wear my Casio until the black resin cracked and broke off the metal internals. I still have mine even though it doesn't work anymore ( I still have all the watches I ever owned. No trading or selling). This was and probably still is a great watch for the price. Now I have 2 Casio's that I wear consistently.. The Rangeman GW9400-1 and a GW7900B-1. All Casio's are the best value versus the cost. They are just not dressy, even the ones from T3's last video. Casio watches are solar powered, perpetual calendar, and atomic. So the time and date are very accurate. The DW5600 should be the beginner watch for a child/young teenager. I heard though that children can only tell time digitally now with the digital time on cell phones and digital watches, analog watches are just not being worn anymore.

I'm a big fan of G-Shock squares. I have a few others, but for the most part, I mostly wear squares. My favorites are anniversary squares with screwbacks. The ultimate square has always been the GW-5000 but that was until the GMW full metal squares came out - that's next on my list.

For me the g-shock never did anything but I have couple of timex expedition indiglo alarm that I use as beater, running, not caring watches. They have a very unique alarm function using the tip of the needles as electrical contact to get the alarm off. They can be used as timer and are a lot quicker to activate using the bezle . On a nato they are not bad looking too with indiglo back-light. I've never met anyone else using one of those so I guess they've never been popular yet it's one of my favourite watch under 50$ of all time. One is a TIMEX T47902 and the other T43391 for reference. They are for me what g-shock seems to be for many.

I have a DW5600bbn I wear at work every day. I put on bull bars and a 5 ring zulu. If a horrible situation arises I will lose my hand first before the watch can come off or stops working. It looks like the apocalypse watch yet somehow also has this low key earnestness. Some complain about the negative display, personally I never have trouble reading it.

I have worn g-shocks for work for over 25 years. Very reliable and bulletproof. Love the high horology time pieces, just not practical for work. Maybe i will have a zenith el primero in my future one day. Any of the g-shocks, edifice, pro-tek, etc , are good topics.

The only G-Shock I would put ahead of it is the DW5610. It is about twice the price, but is solar powered and has multi-band 6 ( atomic time syncing ). When I was on active duty, this was my field watch. The one I have today is about 15 years old, and survived two deployments, and I store it on the handle of my go-bag. While I prefer the look and feel of a mechanical, the 5610 will by my first pick when the inevitable upcoming zombie apocalypse begins.

Unfortunately, I inherited my mother’s tiny bone structure. I did find a Casio Wave Ceptor that is close to being a G-Shock. It has 200M WR. It is also radio controlled, synch’ing to the atomic clock every night. Long Island Watch had it for around $50.00. That was too good to pass up. I love having a watch that is always accurate. In case you are interested, the model is: WV-200a1-1AV. If it was solar powered, it would be perfect. Oh.well, I can change a battery every five years. Keep up the great work on the videos!

the 5600 is descended from the very first gshock the dw5000c, although descended might not be the correct term since the design is still exactly the same even among all of todays variants, albeit with some differences. Essentially though, whichever one you choose among the 5600 series you are getting the ORIGINAL gshock. Great vid. subscribed.

I just picked up a gd350 specifically for the vibrating alarm. I recently switched up my training schedule to wake up at 4am and needed a way to wake up that keeps the wife happy so I can stay living in my house! Anywho, I've never owned a g-shock and this watch is just plain cool. I think a super great thing about g-shocks that I am noticing is that by owning and wearing one, you can be part of this g shock "club" in a real cheesy, nerdy way. Another massive point is that there is no real pretentiousness with these watches. Whether your gshock costs $40 or $400, owners respect the entire lineup and each watch has a specific set of skills that it does. Mine was purchased to meet my very specific needs and that's exactly how it is used everyday. It has the charm of being what it is and being great at what it is and nothing more. plus, they just make you feel a little more bad ass.

My favorite is the GW-300 an awesome timepiece which takes a signal from the atomic clock every day so is always spot on. I use mine as the reference time to set my other watches. I’m not sure if it is still available though. Mine is pretty battered, it has seen some hard use since I got it..
