As an old guy, let me say this: Hold on to this moment. It's one you'll trot out many times over your next fifty years. Frazier-Ali 1 was that way for me. Like the Ali-Frazier fight, this one is a small but spectacular moment in a world-wide turbulent setting, with multiple wars, economic hardship, passionate political and cultural division... And aside from the boxing ins-&-outs and nuts-&-bolts that we love as fans, it's a great, great story, with great characters, and that--hopefully--will reach a wider audience in time.

@terrywho227 ай бұрын
Usyk won because he's the definition of tenacious and has an iron jaw, but he was helped by Fury not protecting the right side of his head. I think Fury of 5 or 6 years ago may have moved fast enough to slip those punches and keep his hands low to work the body and set up the uppercut. That said, mid-thirties Fury got rocked first by an Ngannou left to the head and now by a monster left headshot by Usyk in the 9th. If Fury wants to blame someone, rather than Putin he should blame his coaches for not correcting that before he entered the ring with Usyk.

Usyk is right up there with Evander Holyfield

This is the first time I've disagreed with Teddy's analysis of a fight! Usyk is in another League when it comes to boxing, it's always said but there are levels & Fury had his cnut punched in last night, I watched it bk again & still I'm struggling to give Fury more than 3, maybe 4 at a push! Ref done Fury a huge favour & I just don't see the point in a rematch, I think barring a lucky punch that Usyk would finish Fury especially now that he knows he can take Fury's best & last night is as good as Fury can be physically which still isn't easy on the eye, bean pole legs & a spare tyre round his waist! 😂 Saw him walking away from the ring & noticed that he's still got the handles lol.

Great man Teddy Atlas. He cares about fighters. He knows the game and the pressures on coaches etc also. Great knowledge and wisdom.

Great interview. Let the great man talk. No agendas. Enjoyed it immensely.

Teddy knows his boxing. There were some great insights from him in this interview. I do wonder if the result will be the same if the rematch happens. The mountain is now for Fury to climb.

Usyk once commented after his victory against Polish world champion Krzysztof Glowacki, saying that "Glowacki, for all the boxing skills available to him, used them to the fullest" Today, Teddy Atlas said the same thing about Usyk when commenting on his historic victory against Tyson Fury, a victory that actually cemented his legacy as a fighting man in boxing.
