Yes you are doing the right thing and he will have a wonderful life. I have taken in over 25 years 4 goldens. 1 former breeding dog, 1 where the owner became too old to care for the dog, 1 owner who died, and 1 owner who had a financial crisis and could no longer afford the dog. All difficult decisions and all 4 dogs were spoiled rotten by me until their deaths. Kingsley will be very loved.

Em-I can’t imagine how hard it is for you mom heart to let this good boi go to another home, but a new adventure awaits him. I have a most special place in my heart for retired breeder pups. I volunteer for a golden rescue and for a couple of years have been low-key searching, but very “high-key” open-hearted to a retiree sibling for our golden, Sully. Since you didn’t mind the road trip to his new home, if you ever need a picturesque and loving small farm home for one of your retiring loves, with a sweet English cream Golden sibling included, let us match!! ❤ Best wishes for peace and comfort for your heart in knowing that you did good by your pal.

Hi Em, I am so sorry for how you must be feeling. It's paining in my heart to think about how you are feeling right now. I always used to think breeders are so lucky to have animals around them all the time. But, watching this video made me realize that it's such a hard job to send away a child to a new home. I regularly watch your videos and love all your pups. You are a wonderful breeder but before that, you are a great mom. I really want a golden retriever so badly. I am hoping one day our paths would cross. I wish you all the world's happiness, support, and strength.
