Hii! What determines whether you’re successful in actually minting the blocks? I’m struggling to find info on it.. also, is one’s pool being selected totally random, or does having more delegates or staked ADA increase your odds? Thank you in advanced. Also, thank you for your videos there super helpful.

The more ADA delegated to your pool the more the chances of you minting blocks increases. 12,000 ADA = ~1% chance but it is a system built on luck.

@@NAcrypto What impact does broadband vs fiberoptic ethernet play? And then this compared with the hardware of the producer and the relays? Is there a good resource to see what the minimum specs should be for the relays?

@@fletcherw1136 I would recommend neither as part of a venture to running your own stake pool. You should be operating out of a Data Centre, whether that's using a VPS or a dedicated server both are better than your home connection (video coming soon ;-) ) Min Specs in GitHub from IOHK themselves: github.com/input-output-hk/cardano-node/releases 10G Storage 8GB RAM Half decent processor
