This is pure male delusion. Women don’t need men anymore. Next, are you going to say that men are the reason birth rates are so low? LMAO. The easiest thing for any woman is to get married. The world is full of cre*epy older men. The only thing a woman has to be is younger. A 40 yo guy wouldn’t hesitate to marry a 25 yo woman. A 50 yo man wouldn’t when it comes to a 35 yo woman. It is women who have been walking away from marriage and motherhood but without the noise that the Manosphere is making. In countries like Korea and Japan, where women are allegedly the most Feminine (by the standards of the males themselves), women have even less children than the West and their birth rates are lower than the US (and already in US the birth rate isn’t even at replacement rate of population). The Feminists in the US have nothing on them. Did you know in Korea there is a women’s movement called 4 No’s (no to dating, to s3x, no to marriage, no to child bearing and rearing). It is not just a few women who have this policy. Korea has literally the worst birth rate in the world. Even the average age of first mother in US is 30 and in Korea it is 33.5. Japan is only a little above Korea in birth rate. In China (the worlds most populous country) too it is low. Having said this, older males completely switch up and look for hospice care wives. There is no shortage of older males looking for a wife that they can become dependent on. Older women are valued for their homemaking skills, to raise his older kids and even her feminine presence and companionship. That is why even older women like Queen Consort Camilla and even that old lady with Jeff Bezos (both to whom have kids from previous marriages) get the highest value men, even though younger women are available in society who would love what these older women have. Usually older ladies go for younger men for fun/ s3x (younger males have more virility than older men) and older men for LTRs. Older women like Kim K, JLo, Priyanka Chopra, Megan Fox and so on Dong have any problem attracting older men or younger men for marriage or for s3x and fun. Most of the times the dudes are richer than them too (although that isn’t an issue if the woman has resources of her own and is only looking for fun). Most older women don’t get married and lose interest since they have to take on a male dependent who will nag her for s3x (but not always because 40% males have ED at age 40 and it is only downhill from there), his food and his laundry. Why would older women take on these older men in his decline when he wasn’t the one with her in her important years of child bearing and rearing? They won’t. Marriage is simply women given an extra dependent. Women already give care to children, parents, sometimes parents in law and even sick siblings but the dependent who gives the most trouble is the non genetic male in her life. Most males bring nothing hit abuze, assault (mentioned above), drama, STDs, more work, waste of time and resources which will pay off more money if she invested her time elsewhere instead of a male. Most women realise this and get out of marriages as soon as possible. 50% marriages end in divorce and women file 70-80% of the time. Sometimes women file divorces to protect their kids against an abusive father but in some cases women don’t file because of their kids. I believe if not for their kids, even more women will file for divorces. Most males will always disappoint. Most males cannot see a woman as a person and cannot look at her as anything beyond a pretty face and a nice/hot body. And also his mother and maid who he can become dependent on. The male grift is up. Women don’t want marriage. Women are way less interested and find men way less useful (romantically) than men do about women. That is how it is. That is how it will always be. Marriage is sold hard for women and it is the biggest lie. But women have learnt that it is a lie. Men providing and protecting is a lie. It looks good on paper but it is far from reality. Most women are likely to di*e at the hands of the male they are with rather than a stranger. Another, thing is the biggest cause of death of a pregnant woman is mur*der at the hands of the father of her child. It is not even medical complications as one might expect. The providing part is also the same. Most child support payments don’t even cover the day care costs. According to stats, day care costs about $1230 per month and the average child custody payment is $5760 per year. Do you know even how expensive it is to raise kids? Even if a man pays child support and that covers the day care cost, the mother has to work for everything else. Apart from day care cost, kids cost a lot of money for: food, place to live, clothing, school fees, doctor fees and medicine expenses since small kids fall sick often, vaccination expenses, kids beds and bedding, toys and other things and so much more. Remember that women like Kim K receive 200K per month. That makes it seem like women are getting more child support but women aren’t. That is why so many single moms and their child live in po*verty.

Not to mention blood diamonds, paying top dollar for a gem that isn’t even worth the price tag. It’s the same companies that are going bankrupt that tried to sell the idea to young people that you show your love through the size of a rock. It’s what’s caused the rise in engagement ring using other stones. Honestly these companies deserve to go bankrupt. For decades they have been overpricing their services, we’re just not falling for it anymore. - This coming from a woman.

How you gonna spend just a few hundred dollars? You have to rent a venue, people need food & drink, some countries have traditions like the grooms etc "kidnap" the bride and take her from bar to bar and the husband has to find her + pay the open tab, etc. It's gonna cost a few thousand at least... but yeah all these mid women expecting a 100k PLUS wedding and an engagement ring that costs tens of thousands are insane. It's all about their image on social media, with friends+colleagues etc for them... I was dating a girl but we broke up for multiple reasons... ultimately she ended up marrying another guy and she had a 150k wedding but she paid for it herself because SHE wanted all that. My friend was a wedding photographer back in the day. He told me: "Sell to the woman." "Get half of the money upfront and the other half the day of the wedding." I asked him, "Why can't you just collect the 2nd half of the photo money sometime AFTER the wedding." He replied, "Sometimes a marriage doesn't even last through the honeymoon." He then recounted an instance when that actually happened to his client(s).

" the woman must return the engagement ring." No, the BGB says only that every of the engaged can claim the gifts back. So the woman must not give it back by default. Commentary: You're still putting yourself at the mercy of someone else. It would have been easier for him to just not get married in the first place. What if his mother decided to just run off with all the money and blow it all if he pissed her off somehow? What if she just gave it all away to charity? She *owns* it because he *handed it over to her.* This man should not be uplifted as an example. This is a technicality, a loophole, which is sure to be closed soon enough somehow I'm sure. Did his mother put in the work to build his career and do all the training and develop his natural skills? I'm sure she supported him, and any man worth his salt when he's successful should treat his mother well. Handing over *his entire wealth* is another matter entirely. She didn't do the work, and he's trying to game the system. It might work out for him, but all this is going to lead to is even further draconian measures when men try to do things like this. Men instead need to say NO, and stop offering protection and provision without proper behavior and loyalty in recompense. If the government doesn't want to care about men...that's fine. Men don't need to work hard and pay lots in taxes, or step up and fight to defend the country, or financially support these politicians. If women don't want to be a cooperative and useful partner, that's fine. They can do their own thing, and men should feel *no obligation* to offer _traditional benefits_ to _non-traditional women._ It's so much easier to just say NO. It's more effective too. Starve the beast until it either submits or dies. You don't need to care, especially when it's *abundantly clear* that females and the government actually don't care about you and only want to coercively extract what you have for their own gain.

I've worked in the wedding industry. It's an oestrogen-soaked, irrational scam from beginning to end: selling the sizzle. I've seen bridezillas throw a fit at their husband-to-be again and again just because one element that they _need_ for their fairytale fantasy day to be perfect was unavailable or slightly different from their intent. Poor guy (and poor father of the bride who's probably paying for it all) stood there with big question marks over their heads as princess shrieks and melts down over Pantone shades. "Those artificial flowers are periwinkle, not lavender. They'll clash with the bridesmaids' dresses and RUIN EVERYTHING!!!" Those last-minute time crunch changes don't come cheap, and the girls seem to think it's a point of pride to blow through their budget ("I'm worth it").

One of those few times where they can say something like "Luxury Bridal companies are going broke. Stunning and brave women most affected!", and it'll actually be true: marriage, like Valentines' Day, is one of those rare traditional institutions that really are designed to absolutely waste money in spoiling women for no particularly good reason. "Spend thousands of dollars on a cake! Spend thousands of dollars on colour-coordinated dresses! Spend thousands on a honeymoon! Spend thousands on diamonds and golden rings! Spend tens of thousands on new matching cars with bows on top! Spend hundreds on chocolates and candies! Spend thousands and thousands on divorce fees! Spend thousands to fix the STD she gave you sleeping with her boss or your best friend or the pool boy or anything that moves! Spend thousands moving out! Spend thousands to fix your car after she keys it! Spend thousands and thousands on child support for the pool-boy's kids!" This is as much as anything, though, a sign of the times as middle-class, working-class, and poor families are forced to tighten their belts in a post-COVID world where life savings have been wiped out, small businesses wrecked, jobs lost, benefits run out, and so on: those lavish bridal monstrosities costing all that money were a showy luxury that nobody ever had the money to waste on even in the '90s, '00s, and '10s, but still did it anyway. As America comes to terms with a new era of austerity and depression, though, those bridal companies are going to fall on REALLY hard times, and will be resented in ways that few other businesses ever were!

My uncle got divorced just before holy week. He was married for 16 years, had an awesome chalet with many dogs, an orchard and a pool. He bought everything with his own money, working hard for decades and now lives in an apartment while she owns now his house and daughter. He married in his 40s, he was desperate to form a family and made the mistake of marrying a 20-year-old gold digger. It is so sad to end this way so I learned the lesson: I'm never going to marry. I will live for my hobbies, friends and family. This society is hostile towards men, the laws are not about equality and every content from western media is full of agendas portraying us in a negative way.

The courts forced him to sell everything and she got awarded almost 2k a month in child support. I proposed to my husband one day (that we should get married), and we did a courthouse wedding. He got his tux from Macy's (maybe around $100) & I got my white dress from some online store for less than $100. We even reused a ring my husband gifted me several years ago, which makes it so sentimental for us. Our wedding fees were less than $100. A friend helped doll me up at home. Another friend offered to take professional pics of the event. We had dinner after. The overall cost of marriage must have cost less than $400, and we couldn't be happier. Super low stress & no regrets about how we went about it. The highlight of this day, besides the marriage, was my husband's speech during the vows part & the people who joined in to help make the day even more special. TLDR Love shouldn't bankrupt a couple, nor can money buy love. I feel like a lot of people, women especially, miss out on true love because they focus too much on what the other person offers financially instead of thinking about all the other things that can make a relationship so great and valuable.

@@icymarcos5485 Dating a Christian girl is good, I've been dating one for just about three years. I'll give her another year or two before marriage, but Christian girls are the best, with the caveat they have to be genuine in her faith. I trust mine because I've known her since high school, and she wasn't popular, and hadn't dated or done anything saved for marriage with anyone other than me. I understand those women are exceedingly rare. A good woman is a gift from the Lord, and all we can do is pray. For other men, you have to vet 'Christian' girls for a variety of reasons. First, generally, a theological checkup is good to do. If she doesn't understand the faith, you have to teach her it, and she might only be culturally Christian, which means she could only be repressing bad behaviour instead of actively transforming her character to mirror God's character. If she belongs to a bad denomination (ie the United Church), she has a bad view on doctrine, and several of those churches support divorce, impurity, and other such ills. If she is Christian simply to be social or cover guilt for her past without a genuine faith and commitment to the Word, be exceedingly cautious. Also, you must be a strong man. A complementarian view, the biblical view, requires a man to be a strong leader and the head of his house. He submits to Christ, his wife submits to Him and Christ, the children to the parents and Christ. As men, we are called to a higher standard in the sense we teach and guide, be the man who you would want to lead your children. As me questions (generally, not just you, Icy) if you have any. I'm far from an expert, but I know my Bible fairly well.

I think their safety-net plan will be to rely on alphabet-people marriages - they're REALLY REALLY wound up on that sort of thing. I've a feeling there probably is money in trying to sell rainbow-coloured eyesores to 2SLGBTQIA++MAP customers so they can play house between pride parades, but probably not enough to save the luxury bridal industry. Still, it would be pretty damned hilarious if men were to find a way to hijack the bridal industry, dedicate the whole thing to squeezing every last dime out of dudes in dresses and googly-eyed purple-haired angry lesbians to sell them ridiculous rainbow-flavored nonsense that nobody needs, but everyone wants if they expect to get enough likes on their Twitter and TIkTok pages. You can start by inventing a bunch of new holidays for married alphabet people to exchange diamond and gold jewelry on, over and over and over, like 3/4 anniversary debutante marriage dances, and World Lesbian diamond-studded-sex-toy month (not to be confused with World Gay diamond-studded sex-toy month or World Bisexual diamond-studded-sex-toy months, which are in totally different seasons!) You can make up holidays with ridiculous-sounding fake ethnic names and invent imaginary backstories about how those are the traditional days in tribal cultures where all the stunning and brave transvestites come out of the closet at once to engage in community beauty pageants to show off who can afford the most expensive dresses, and the losers get to have a week of parades wearing a new dress every day that they can only wear once. You could have different holidays throughout the year that require participants to dress up in matching bondage gear inspired by Star Wars, Marvel superheroes, Harry Potter, those damned clowns from IT, Scooby Doo, LEGOs, My Little Ponies, and whatever else it is that keeps these dingalings shoveling out endless amounts of money. And that's just a couple ideas I can think of off the top of my head... none of them any stupider than the endless holidays we've already got to celebrate all this rainbow balderdash, and no stupider than all the expensive proms, engagements, dances, weddings, gift-giving days, and all the rest that fathers, husbands, and boyfriends are expected to shovel out money for on women to keep up with the rat race. I imagine more creative minds than mine could think of lots more, and lots of better ways to fill the vacuums left as traditional marriages have gone the way of savings accounts and balanced checkbooks....

If she starts quibbling about an expensive wedding, she's not concerned about marrying you, she wants a display to showcase herself. His first wife accepted the offer enthuseastically. Sadly she died in a car accident three years later. Once he felt up to reentering the dating pool, and eventually thought he'd found a number 2, she balked and said she wanted a big wedding. Broke up with her shortly thereafter. The next one he considered marrying got angry at the suggestion. Broke up with her on the spot. Beyond that there is almost zero benefit to declaring a marriage which takes a whole lot of legal bother to break again.

Spent a total of $88 on our wedding. $38 for the marriage license and $50 to the mayor of the township who performed the ceremony. Used the thousands we saved to buy a house. Been married for 21 years. Some put more into the wedding than into the actual marriage, but to each their own. No regrets here.

Married almost 40 years. The one bit of advice I can offer is: *Never Go To Bed Mad At Each Other. For It will poison your relationship faster than Arsnic.*
