Bayern Munich fan here. Vizekusen was the laughing stock for almost 30 years. They were known for always falling short, every single time. Whenever they started strong into a saison, you can bet your house on them falling behind at some point of the saison. I have to say, i never been more happy for a team to win the Bundesliga. And they fashion they did it, is just what they and their fan base deserved. A clean sweep. And i wish them form all of my heart that they can win the triple!

After their win against Qarabag I think in the UEL KO where it was a close as twins siblings coming out of the womb together, and some fuxking way they kept it calm, controlled, and passed the ball around the outside of the box. Grimaldo found that space to send the ball and Schick without fail put it in the net. I was a believer not in the black magic but in the mentality. Even in the NFL or the NBA you dont see cohesiveness like this, you dont see how an entire squad from the players on the field to the ones on the sideline to the coach sticking together til the final whistle blows and making it happen. Typing this makes me cry a lil because I thought only Madrid used the Power of Friendship.

They still haven't done it tho...I remember a few seasons ago Barça were on to go unbeaten and then a had a crazy 5-4 defeat away from home against a bang average team on MATCHDAY 37.........Just a few seasons ago, Sporting in Portugal were on for it to, and then lost in the VERY LAST MATCHDAY, away to Benfica. It's very hard to go unbeaten. I really hope they do it.

Bayer Leverkusen have to ways of how the matches go: they either score in the first half, which means that it is game over for the other team (I think Leverkusen have won all matches in which they have taken the lead), or they are a bit wasteful with their chances, the other team scores in the second half and Leverkusen have to score in injury time.

Barcelona almost went unbeaten in La Lifga in the 2018/19 season, but they took their foot off the gas after they had the league won, and Ernesto Valverde didn't give much importance to going unbeaten for the entire season. He didn't field a strong team against Levante in their penultimate match of the league, and they lost 5-4 with no Messi on the field.

Btw Stuttgart is the best 3rd place in Bundesliga history right now and Bayern was the best 2nd place after the half of the season (pointwise). Its not like there arn't any other strong teams this season. Also Dortmund played quite well in all games they could give away the possesion, which makes a reasonable amout of really tough games during the season. Prem was not really peaking 03/04 aswell, United was the only team who reached the cl final in the decade leading up to the invincible season. Going unbeaten in Budesliga is already comparable to arsenals run, let alone doing it in 2 more competitions. (Arsenal lost to Middelsborough in the cup that season, any oponent can be the trippingstone, thats why its never been done before).

That's why it was Benfica that held the record before Leverkusen. Juventus and Milan both came close to having an unbeaten season, as did Perugia but they all lost in the cup (Perugia also didn't win the title). So did Ajax in 1995 and Dinamo Bucuresti in 1992. Star Belgrade had only one loss to Hoffenheim in their "uneaten" season. Debrecen, I think, in 2012 had an unbeaten season, but they didn't play in Europe. So besides Debrecen I can't think of any other club going unbeaten for the entire season in recent years. Leverkusen can do this. They've already beaten the record for most consecutive undefeated games. Now they can go unbeaten for the entire season. Juventus, Milan, Arsenal and so on didn't do either. Augsburg, Atalanta and Kaiserslautern can stop Leverkusen for the unbeaten season.

Even if they were to lose to Kaiserslautern or Atalanta after beating Augsburg, going unbeaten in the Bundesliga is still a record, and an absurd one at that - even Bayern never managed that, not in their sextuple/treble years and not when they went out of cup and UCL early. Saying "who cares" about that is utterly disrespectful to the achievement it is.
