Mine too. Her leg muscles are huge and she does Pogo stick jumps at my front door when she sees me grab the car keys. Her head bounces higher than mine and I'm 6'2". If my truck door is open she will beeline down the walk and leap up on the seat clearing the 10' sidewalk and easement up onto the truck seat that's almost 4' off the ground. I've got a 4' fence around the front yard and she can hop right over it from a sitting position like a frickin gazelle. They are absolutely amazingly agile.

Our dog actually learned a poop command without me trying? He learned this last year after a paw injury. I wouldn't take him far from home as to not put strain on the injury so I would keep asking him to go poop... 3 days in and I'd say "Go poop" And he did so... and then the next day... and the next... And now he's healthy and still does it 😂 (he's 11, I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks!)

I taught my dog the same thing a few months after I changed careers and it ended up being the best thing ever. “Go potty” for pooping and “ peeing time” for pee. I can actually work and come back home to no mess. She’s 1 years old and a 8 months now.

My parents told me it was impossible to teach cats commands, well I taught them to meow a certain way if they wanted to show me something, and if I say, show me, they take me wherever they need, this has saved our other cats lives at points because the other cats can alert us if a cat is injured somewhere far away

I only had to say toilet to my old dog, and she would pee, if i said poo's or walked out with the scooper she would "snap on off" asap. If we were traveling she refused to drink any large amounts. She was so intelligent, learnt to wink one eye in 5 minutes, lots of treats help.

The guy seems pretty in tune to his dogs. He knows when they’ve been fed and watered, so he probably knows when it’s feasible to command them to do their business. It’d be odder if you assumed he would try to force his dogs to do a natural behavior when it would be physically impossible for them.

It's not pick up treats and do 1 2 3, but in very simple vague terms, it's about establishing a "Routine" and starting day 1, at 8 weeks old it's about rewarding the behaviour and having the dog start to anticipate the reward for preforming the routine, as it gets older you can start to do it on a schedule and add a que word like potty or poop, sometime wee etc. There are a 1000 ways, but I go nuts and praise and reward my dog everytime it goes, I also recognise when he is starting look like he wants to go, and use the que word / prefered command to anticipate his behaviour, establish and build a communication pathway. Good luck. PS, Crate training is an integral part of it too.

I remember as a teenager my mom calling for my dog but she was in the middle of a poop. My mom saw as she was yelling for her and the dog pinched it and came running. My mom said she was sorry to Ginger and told her she could go finish and she went back and did. My mom was amazed at how well she was trained that she could do that. She never had a dog do that before.

When your dog is peeing you go and tell him the word you want to use for peeing , and encourage them , like : Peeing , good peeing, bravo! repeat it many times, be sure he heard it ... He will make the connection in 2-3 peeing times. Same goes for pooing ... The trick is that your dog must already be trained in any other thing, so they understand your attitude, and that when you say good boy or bravo , or 'good whatever' they get the joy out of it like it is with treats ... If he hasn't been trained then he wont understand the process... So first you teach them basic commands with positive reinforcement and treats , and then you apply that to peeing or pooing or whatever ...
