One Of The Saddest Rescue Cases We’ve Seen 😢

Normally I would say "I don't even have words" when something like this happens, BUT I have a lot of words. Bunson is very old, we guess around 8. He has been neglected LONG before some horrible person decided to dump him at a park in Bakersfield California on a hot summer day. I believe the ONLY reason the person was able to catch him is because he was in SUCH bad shape.
As I have been editing together this video with clips my co-founder took and posted to our Instagram, I have been informed that there are up to 5 MORE guinea pigs at this same park. No one has been able to catch them.
Bakersfield is over 2 hours away from my home. If you are reading this and in Bakersfield and would like to try and go catch the other pigs, please message us on IG or leave a comment here.

People think because cavy live in the wild in like Peru and stuff that you can just let the domestic ones go outdoors and they will just "figure it out" but the difference is wild ones spend their whole lives learning from other wild ones exactly how to survive out there! Without that lifelong experience and education, these babies have absolutely no resources, defenses or skills of survival!!!!!!! WE HUMANS are the ones who created these domestic animals and WE HUMANS are responsible to protect and care for them! Bless you for all that you do!!!!! Sending Bunson lots of love!!!!!

@@maryamullins4332 I know how you feel, this has been the saddest case we’ve taken in. Right now he is stable and has gained some weight. We’re doing the best that we can for him. He certainly wouldn’t have lived if the kind person had not intervened.

This just breaks my heart. He's a goddamn sweetheart! I will NEVER understand that someone could dump him - or any pets! - and, frankly, it enrages me. He was clearly in need of medical attention and they abandoned him (definitely a bulla pig with fungal issues).. Thankfully, he wanted to eat everything - even the antibiotics! I really, really hope you guys can get him to where he's comfortable and pain-free! He deserves at least that.. And the fact that there are more dumped piggies in that same park is absolutely gut wrenching.. I simply can't fathom some people's actions when it comes to animals... Thank you guys for helping these poor, forsaken piggies. What you're doing shouldn't be necessary, but thank f*** you do it!

Thank you so much for your help and that, you are strong enough to help. I would desperate when i would see cases like this. Unfortunately i don't understand enough at the beginning bc English isn't my first language. But it's clear what happened. The last sentences made me cry. Thats so true. Why are a lot of people so cruel to others. Doesent matter of humans, animals, the nature. The humans need everything of that to live. Now i have to go to cuddle and feed some yummies for my piggies and am happy that they have a good life as much as i can give them and they be love a lot. I would do everything for them. Nerver could do some bad things like they do😢

I’ve through the same thing, I’ve held my pigs sobbing while they’re taking their last breath and would have given anything for one last day with them. Meanwhile people are literally tossing them out like trash. It makes no sense

What a sweet boy. I hope he heals quickly! I have had bad experiences with my local humane society. They will refuse or try and charge you. Not everyone can pay or jump the hoops. No excuse to dump, but it does not help. I always tell people to call a vet and ask if they know of a place. One near me will take in animals and give them care until they can be turned over to the humane society. They are better able to deal with the hoops.

I have heard of shelters turning people away or trying to charge them money to turn in an animal. You’re right it is no excuse to dump but I think it just speaks to the issue right now and how many people may feel that they have no other options
