It actually isn't surprising that he looked normal to those around him. A lot of serial killers, rapists and other criminals blend right into the communities they belong to. They remind me of my uncle, Godfrey Mahlatsi, who was shot and killed by security guards at a shopping complex in Soweto, Johannesburg, South Africa back in 1999. I was 7 years old when he died and I remember him being an absolutely amazing uncle. Everyone in the community still regards him highly because he was in fact a very nice person - and very normal too. But after his death we learned the extent of his crimes, including some of the most gruesome murders you can imagine. One of his accomplices would later tell me of one particularly shocking crime of my uncle practically boiling his victim by placing her in a scorching hot shower while he ransacked her house. He also shot and killed several police officers. This is the disturbing truth about such depraved people: they seem normal. I remember a case where a mortician's assistant was exposed to be violating corpses before their funerals, and the reason he was exposed is because usually you block orifices during embalming to stop the embalming fluids leaving the corpse, but he needed to unblock them for obvious reasons. This caused tissue damage to his penis, which didn't really bother him. At one point they'd had a slightly more decayed corpse, and he'd ended up with an infection in his damaged tissues, which caused an unusual discharge, forcing him to go to a doctor for fear he'd lose his penis. They took swabs of the infected discharge, and the bacteria or fungus (I can't remember which, I read about this case years ago, and it was an older case even then) present was identified as something you usually only find on decomposing flesh/meat, as well as evidence of formaldehyde and other embalming chemicals in his tissue sample of some of the peeling skin. When the case was reviewed and his GP made the connection with his documented occupation, it didn't take long to put the pieces together and have him arrested. The title of the article when I read it was something "jokey" to catch people's attention, like "Man catches venereal disease/STI from corpse" although in reality the bodies didn't have VD, obviously.

I used to work in both hospitals in Tunbridge Wells. I don't remember this guy but I probably walked past him several times without realising it. There was always a rumour about a necrophile getting into the morgue but I just put it down to idle chatter. Word was that it was one of the porters & a lot of people would just dismiss it or change the subject if it was brought up, so I never really paid it much attention. Turns out it was true. Turns out it was the bedsit murderer. Nobody saw that coming. My gut tells me those won't be his only murders. There's several murders & disappearances round here that need to be looked at again now. One in particular stands out. It was years later but happened just minutes away from the first one. Vulnerable girl, taking a shortcut to sheltered housing. They pinned it on a homeless guy but the conviction was shaky. I really hope they're looking at it again in connection to this freak.

So disturbing. I’m curious how the one mother that tried killing him found out and why wasn’t he put in jail when that happened.
@Cynthiabecker242 жыл бұрын
He was in jail when the mother was informed. Police officers arrived at her door only a week or so ago to inform her that "Dave", the man charged with the crime had been arrested. He was arrested late 2020 for the 2 homicides, due to the advance in DNA tech. Whilst searching his home they stumbled upon 4 million images of SA. Although most downloaded from the internet, others were taken by the perp, when he was committing the crimes at the morgues. This obviously lead to further investigation. So he was already in jail when the officiers informed the mother of Azra. After they left, a very grief stricken, angry, disgusted woman,and mother grabbed a knife from her kitchen and headed down to the local jailhouse. Not realising at that time that the perp was already in custody awaiting trail for double murder. The mom was detained, arrested and is now campaigning for the sentencing laws to be harsher. What saddened me, was hearing her say that she had to fight for the right to spend some last moments with her dead daughter at the morgue, only to be told that before and after her visit this "thing" had forced himself upon Azra almost longer then her own Mum had to say her goodbyes. 😥😡🙏❤

I just don't get why we're so precious about corpses, they have ceased to be the person that once inhabited the body, it's an inanimate object. That said I think the law should apply as it does for any other inanimate object i.e. if someone "owns" it (e.g. the dead person's family) then it is protected by law against theft and damage. I don't get why it should be its own crime.

Yes, because it's not just what was done to the corpse ( although I think 10 years for that alone would be more suitable ) but the distress to the families needs to be taken into account. The law should be changed so each count of necrophilia should result in a 20yr sentence ( 10 for the violation of the corpse, 10 for the distress caused to the family. ) The murders are equally sickening and he should receive a whole life tarrif.

I've been watching all the disturbing cases from Disturban for a while now. My only consolidation has been that a lot of the cases are far away from the quite remote town that I live in that isn't known for much... Until this 'worst human to ever exist' lived in the same town as the school I graduated from in 2020. From 2013 to 2020 I've probably been walking past this guy and I didn't even know it - if he was a creep to children I wouldn't be surprised if he loitered round my school as there's been a few reports of people like that while I went there. Why did you do this to me Disturban? Ps - It's spelt Tunbridge Wells. It probably just sounds like Turnbridge Wells due to the accent.

I think this guy might be a suspect for "Doctor Gloves" (Plagued Moth did a video on him fairly recently but, be warned, if you check it out - it's one of the most abhorrent things I've ever heard about). Deadbug also did a video on this guy - David Fuller, the Bedsit Killer- recently too, which is what first made me think he could've been that unknown person. People said "Doctor Gloves" was known to the FBI so maybe that information is what made them choose Fuller's name from that group of 90 people? I wonder if he was trading on the deep, or dark, web images and videos? I can't see him _not_ doing so and we know that he criminally penetrated the bodies of children. Him saying he didn't want to go into detail and pleading guilty (meaning he wouldn't go to trial) is not good enough.

I was thinking the same. He reminded me on Moths video of Dr Gloves. But as the guy below said, Gloves is in the US. But great parallel anyways. What i think about is maybe overtime people working in morgues and hospitals and funeralcentres get used to corpses and feel normal with them, and start doing do gruesome things to them, out of jokery or deviation or perversy.
@runlarryrun772 жыл бұрын
@@hardver8855 Na, they get jobs in these places cos they're sick & want to get close to their intended victims. He was an electrician, he worked for the estates department. Other than there being an electrical issue in the morgue there would be no good reason for him to be in there. I'm sure from time to time he had a legit reason to be in there, but nowhere near enough to "feel normal" around corpses. I worked in both the old hospitals in Tunbridge Wells, before they were demolished & combined onto a single site. The main morgue was at the hospital in the town centre & there was a secluded side room at the other hospital where bodies would be kept until a porter came up from the main hospital to move them to the main site. When I worked in those hospitals I was required to go into either morgue 3 times. Main site once to drop some stuff off, small site twice because there was a store cupboard in the same little building where the bodies were kept. Only trusted staff members from estates or domestics were allowed in "sensitive" parts of the hospitals like the morgue, psyche wards, dementia wards, special baby unit etc. There were buzzer entry systems, codes, keys that needed to be signed out then returned etc. Neither of those morgues were easy to access. Can't tell you anything about the new morgue, but I'm assuming it's not easy to get in there either. Somehow he managed it though! This guy had to work hard to get to those bodies. It's something he actively sought out. It's not like he was regularly around corpses & one day just thought "Ah, why the hell not?" As I say only trusted members of staff were allowed in sensitive parts of the hospital. This freak must have spent years fostering, then abusing that trust to steal codes, sneak keys out, get them copied, then sneak them back. Devious, depraved & disgusting.

And myself, i come from a "third" world , more poor than rich, war torn but beautiful, green ,plenty of natural beauties and rivers, country called Bosnia and Herzegovina. I am in the middle of Balkan area peninsula. We arent even in European Union. Before 90ies we were part of federal republic of Yugoslavia, with president Tito. Anyways, my point is, through all my life, we hade several jealousy raged deviant killings and rapes of young women ex gf. Other than that we have 4 years of war which i dont remember. But as i am aware, all murder cases in my country you can count on your hands. Somehow i would understand deviant and disturbing things to happen here, because of the war tragedies, because lack of paying jobs, and financial safety, with high corruption in politics and organized crime on high level. In that enviroment ,which is like my country , i would understand people going nuts and start doing sheeet in their free time, trying at least to fulfill their dark fantasies when they cant fulfill easily their dreams. But i think, for foreigners, really my country is quite quite safe. For all women they can hitchhike all day night long, be alone in the dark, go drink alone do whatever and they can walk home safely without a scratch. Also my countries population isnt big almost 4.5 mill, maybe that reasons the lack of twisted crimes. But me, i am addicted and i binge watch all crime documentaries and crime youtubers. From the US up to Australia. It is interesting how the sick twisted fantasies people have, how they arw driven strongly and get the will power to make them possible. Some people go great lengths to commit sick, evil gruesome , disturbing crimes. Only if they use that same will power to help others,neighbours, those in need, empoverished, homeless and etc. Instead to commit heineous crimes, to point their satisfaction in seeing happy faces from those in need, and those who dont have anybody to help them and cheer them up. Guess that is difficult. Its easier to be an asshole.
