They're not even a hardcore or a rock band, but managing to sing this song is simply amazing . So proud of Mayday Parade

Haha lack of lyric knowledge? Believe me I was screaming at every opportunity and I think the recording is fucked up around the chorus cause of that

I am one of those people who think their new songs are incredible and I am super excited for the new album. But these vocals lack live, It's for sure decent. But the vocal performance is nowhere good, due to this screaming/yelling taking a toll on your voice. I noticed that the vocalists of Neck Deep and The story so far also are really terrible live on the high notes.

+EmotionalTurtleBallad it just sounds like he's out of breath to me

+Kyle Kinniburgh I don't believe it's healthy to sing the way he does. That's why he is exhausted, due to bad vocal technique on these type of songs. He even has to share some lines with Jeremy so he can pull it of. It was better towards the end though, when he had a break and Dan joined him.

+Kyle Kinniburgh Yes, I am actually the lead vocalist of a band called Lagoon. /watch?v=DDc7aMKF6nc (Free advertisement :P). I have also had lessons with singing teachers, but it's not like I'm a pro. But what I wrote previously is how I'm judging the situation Derek is in. Take it as you want. :)

Derek doesn't warm up before they go on stage, THAT is why he sounds like he does. Also Mayday has used dual vocals since they started. every album has at least Derek and Jake or Derek and Jeremy (or Derek and Jason on early releases)... it's not out of necessity. it's part of who they are.
