The only way to check your AirPods Pro authenticity: You can check if they're fake by shining a light under the lid of the AirPods case. If they have a number printed onto them on one side, then they're fake. If there are two black squares on each side of the lid, then they are real. I hope this helps! I almost fell a victim today

I learned this today the hard way after purchasing a plastic wrapped set. Apple seal on the box and everything. I couldnt get them to work properly and went to an expert. He shined the light on the lid and my lid had a red hue while his had the square chip on each side and had no hue to it.

I Weighed a pair and found the fake Air Pod Pro ear pieces without case were lighter by almost 3 grams. Real were 11grams, Fake were 8 grams. I dont have a trained hand for that, but still could feel the difference. Also, battery lasted maybe 2hrs, then required a recharge. That said, for $30, they were good as a backup for when my real ones tap out of power.

I have both teal and fake ones. Beside occasion issues with updates for the chip the function identically the same. Sound the same too

The easiest thing that showed the pair I received was fake was that they will pass the ear fit test even if not in your ear! they also will not do a firmware upgrade and such but to quickly assess try the ear fittest and if it passes no matter what they are fake. They have fixed things like the box labeling, manual corners and typos but the quality of the actual sound sucks, and there is no active noise canceling.

I have genuine AirPods 1st gen, and didn’t want to spend another £200 so got a replica set for the pros. Genuinely cannot fault the copies, sound is great, battery life is great and connectivity is as good if not better than the genuine pair

It's easy to tell counterfeit simply with a photo of the rear of the box. Sometimes a seller is selling gifted airpods and don't even know they are counterfeit.

I got a package in the mail I opened it up and inside was a box and inside the box was what looked exactly like Apple AirPod box.. everything was just like the video except there was no Apple logo on the side of the box and there were no numbers or writing anywhere except for an L and an r on the earbuds .. a booklet that says pro three …and we don’t know who delivered it or why but anyway it works with Bluetooth and it sounds good and while it works it’s good to have For our Apple 12 mini phone

For people that want to now, fake airpods: No way to get them on find my iPhone Wireless charging doesn't work (I think) it makes a beeping sound. But normal charging is fine. Noise cancelling (I hope) is better with the real ones. But not that I can compare. I would personally not pay 210 euro more for just these 3 features.

Try to update the firmware or connect to an Apple Watch. Mine wouldn’t update or connect. I made a trip to the Apple Store. They said “ they’re fake.” I bought them brand new in box off eBay. So much for a good buy!

Oh damn. I got ripped. I noticed they were lighter in weight. The firmware won't update.The serial number in the case is not the same as the serial number that shows up in my iPhone software. The volume isn't so good, although the sound quality is pretty good. The connectivity is a bit glitchy too, and the noise cancellation simply doesn't work at all. Sigh. And pretty much everything else noted in this video. I've not told the seller (eBay), but I have requested a refund as they're faulty, and he's said he will refund if I return them. I'm so very frustrated and kicking myself.

I decided to pay $200 for a real set because I want the font inside the lid to look lighter. The darker font on mine hurts my eyes in the sun. I am constantly looking at the font to verify I have headphones in my hands. A bonus with the real ones is the thicker plastic on the tray. Something about a slightly thicker plastic tray that I only see once when opening the package soothes me. It is worth paying $150-200 more for :D
