Recorded this recently. I'm playing everything and singing.
Another "One mic" production, using an RCA 77C-1 for everything except the slide, that has an additional mic, a AEA R84 about 20 feet away from the amp for some depth.
I used one guitar as well, a Telecaster. Bridge pickup straight into a Valco/Supro "Twin Speaker Supreme" for the slide and the fills on the left side. The rhythm guitar track on the right is the same Tele, with both pickups straight into a Princeton Reverb.
Drums are Ludwig's/WFL's from 1958, the bass is a '66 Precision Bass.
This song's a rather obscure Slim Harpo tune, it was never release officially by Excello until the '90's when it came out on a compilation record called, "The Scratch." Slim's version sounds like a warm up take, definitely an outtake,, or something to get levels in the studio. Slim's was also in mono, mine's in stereo.
Enjoy!
