Rainer Hofstedt Some education would be helpful. The Internet is full of resources for the ones who wish to look. (ref.: wiki: History of Arabic Alphabet) If you look at Arabic text, you would discover that dots were added to make easier to read. So, for every old script, there is the dotted letters and the original non-dotted (i.e., "I", "i"). If you remove the dots, then the text is the same. This is common sense in the Arabic world.

@@dodosback No, The oldest Christian manuscript is the Papyrus 66 which has approximately 140 changes or mistakes where the writer kind of deletes them in a way a toddler does when there's a test on school. The Papyrus 66 has many changes compared to the Codex Bezea from the 5th century, which is used as the Bible of today.

The method used to determine the age of this manuscript actually does NOT tell you anything about when the manuscript was WRITTEN, but when the piece it was written on (in this case: goat skin) was PRODUCED. It could be that goat skin was indeed from the time of Muhammad, but that the text itself was written many years (or even decades) later. The diacritics used in the text actually point to later decades, becase diacritic marks were not used during the life-time of Muhammad. So their use in these 2 verses is strange indeed. Even IF the text is as old as Islam itself and unchanged, it only means that TWO verses of the Quran are unchanged. This does NOT prove that the Quran as a whole is unchanged. You cannot prove anything right or wrong by analysing less than 1% of it and leaving out the other 99+%. Also: German scholar Günter Lüling has shown in many studies that certain parts of the Quran are much older than Islam itself and that the exact same passages existed in eralier Christian and Jewish sources. So even IF we assume that these certain parts of the Quran are unchanged, it only means that it copied without any changes from older sources. It is by no means a "proof" for a "God". See also this video about the so-called "Qur'an of Saana" which was written less than 70 years after Muhammad and was directly ordered by caliph al-Walid (which means that it was the official Quran of the ruling elite).
