Nothing to say other than I love Taka's English. Unlike a lot of Japanese people I know who say they want to learn English but are afraid of making mistakes so they never actually try, Taka has no such fear. Even if his English isn't perfect, it works because he just keeps on talking without making any weird, long pauses. The conversation is always flowing and I think that's key. Looking forward to whatever ONE OK ROCK has in store for us. Can't wait to see them again in July!

@@alphonsuskevinimmanuel4676 Yesss, for sure. Taka said when he was invited to work on the Japanese version of Simple Plan's Summer Paradise in 2013, he felt super frustrated that he couldn't communicate with the Canadian band. So he worked hard to improve his English! Actually so inspiring for my own language learning, except I'm trying to start learning Japanese again!

Such a wonderful person Taka is! Very positive, confident, honest, no impression of arrogance whatsoever, considering he's very talented in many ways ♥️😍

I think one of Taka's power is: as a japanese singer singing in english with no accent and singing in japanese with english accent. His english is improved and sounds like native.

Taka, rock isn't dead. Don't give up with world. Your rock style is a great thing I've ever seen. Bassist guitarist and drummer are perfect. I hope you keep stay with your old style and mix and match with new different colors you've tried in your album. Like you said, one ok rock still rock band. I'm happy to hear that. You know, i maybe we (old fans) love your screaming. I rock because you guys. I proud of you guys, i proud can listen rock that you brought. Please, don't give up with world. You grow up, improve life. And I still wait for new things from you guys. I love guitarist, bassist and drummer. (sorry, i hope you can catch my mean. My English is bad)

it's hard you know. Unless OOR's old fans are as loud as BTS fans, then no need to change their music style. Heck even BTS changed their sound to be more radio-friendly. The reason I compare these two because they're actually similar, they bring good messages in their songs and they came from asian background. Both of them got popular really fast within their respected hometown because of their music & the image they brought. OOR doesn't have the advantage like BTS because their audience target are completely different.
@Rifusena5 жыл бұрын
I know reason why taka change their style. Not about too much thing. Especially, The producer is different. Wkwk don't compare oor with bts, i like bts, but i hate army. Don't compare bts if you talking about oor with me. Hahaha and oor are getting old, they might be tired for screaming or jumping or moshing on the next years. Taka, ryouta, toru, tomo, in the ambitions interview talking about performance, healthy, etc.
@reiwoojin20475 жыл бұрын
@@Rifusena it will be easier to make conversation if there's no personal feelings about certain fandom, i was talking about base facts just like how journalist would do. True, i know they want to slow down once they reached 30, but you must be fooling yourself if you think Taka doesn't want to be more famous in the west. He would do anything to reach his goal, and in this era it can only be done if they switch gears. Rock is not popular nowadays, but edm is. To reach broader audience, is only through mainstream media. They can't do that if they stay in the same genre like years ago, unless, i repeat, they have a solid and crazy fanbase who will keep supporting and hyping then. Eventually BTS makes similar sounds like any other Kpop (maybe with higher quality) but Armys are the one made it happen.
@Rifusena5 жыл бұрын
I don't like army. I don't like them. Stop comparing them. But, i agree with your opinions. Once again, i don't like army. Shut up talking about bts. I know bts too.

I've been listening to ONE OK ROCK since 2010, started with hearing "NO SCARED" randomly on KZbin, then "じぶんROCK", "RE:MAKE", "完全感覚Dreamer", etc...Saw the LIVE footages of Budokan and became a fan. I saw them grow in Asia(I'm from Taiwan), but they grew REALLY FAST over the past 3 years in the Western countries, BUT THEIR GROWTH OF FAME STILL MAINLY IN JAPAN. To be honest I think the main problem they need to solve NOW is NEVER JUST THE CHANGE OF THE STYLE, but to USE MORE MEDIA OVERSEAS TO LET THE FANS OVERSEAS KNOW WHO THEY REALLY ARE. I mean they have to show people THEIR AMBITIONS IN OTHER LANGUAGES, like those interviews they had in JAPAN. I'm fine with the change of styles, they're ALWAYS a band like scientists inside a laboratory. What makes ONE OK ROCK my favorite band is that they DARE TO TAKE RISKS TO TRY NEW THINGS, achieving their goals NO MATTER HOW. Still, I gotta say they have to keep the OLD FANS stay, and LETTING THEM KNOW WHY, WHAT AND HOW THEY'RE DOING is the ONLY WAY for them be like REAL BIG.

Taka has said that the band is selfish because they make the music for themselves. They know some older fans do not like the new sound but they want to move forward and try new things. I admire their courage in doing what they want to do and from when the band began in 2005, they always wanted to go beyond Japan. I think if more people outside of Japan heard their music, they would love them too so they need to be heard more. I only found them last year but loved them so much that I bought all of their CDs and DVDs. Heaven to watch them perform. They are the best!

I saw OOR on stage two days ago and his singing voice is still the same. I think his voice is just exhausted, these guys have basically been touring nonstop, in Asia, in the US, now in Europe, in July back in the US, then they're going back to tour in Japan from September through til January.. I think his voice is just in desperate need of a break. I honestly have no clue how they do it all, especially Tomo and Ryota with their families.
