I grew up Asian(Japanese) American and I could 100% relate to the emotion of the music! “I’ve heard it all before” is so true as I’ve been bullied all the way to high school in a predominantly white environment all the way to high school! I’ve heard so many insults from “Ching Chong” to getting bullied for the food I brought for lunch! 😢 It’s definitely been tough, and I’m still looking to find my group as a college student!

We really need to start during Anthony their heavier stuff, especially from their Nagisaen concert, such as Mighty Long Fall which is truly epic. Some of their most popular songs No Scared, Kanzen Kankaku Dreamer, and The Beginning at Yokohama stadium. Finally Juvenile and Jibun Rock at Yokohama arena 2013 are incredible and as good as Liar.

Thinking the same - he's once mentioned he enjoyed the heavier song that was requested, so I'm surprised he's not getting more of that.

@@yanderekat1 I don't think people realize that the majority of their music is like The Beginning, Dreamer, Answer is near and Clock Strikes. But a lot get skipped over because they have Japanese titles, which is a shame. one song they play at Yokohama stadium Taka says Stop, the place goes silent until he yells Go.

To be honest, I had no idea why this song was a staple in their live show until I actually went to one of their shows. But after hearing this song live and jumping and screaming until my legs and throat broke, my impression of this song changed drastically. I love the message of the lyrics too.

the message of this song is a strong one. i think the purpose behind the song is that by being who you are you will stand out and find your crowd no needs to change yourself.

My favorite song!! Thank you❤ This song is one of the most pop album "Eye Of The Storm" released by ONE OK ROCK. It's a bit unfortunate that sometimes people get stuck in a biased opinion just based on their first impression from the music video (is the director from China or someone of Chinese descent?). However, the feelings that ONE OK ROCK put into this song were conveyed to people all over the world, and "Stand Out Fit In" became a song that became a big hit at live performances around the world. “Push Back”, “Grow Old Die Young", “Can’t Wait”, “In the Stars” and this “Stand Out Fit In”. I listened to the album "Eye Of The Storm" again from beginning to end, and in conclusion, all of ONE OK ROCK's songs are amazing!! I’m looking forward to the next video!!

Speaking of tattoos, they all have the other band members' initials tattooed on them. You could see "TTR" on Taka's left arm, which stands for Toru, Tomoya, Ryota. The only exception is Toru, who doesn't have any tattoos because he's afraid of needles. Instead, he had the initials carved on some of his guitars.

@@ooraddora9641 you should also watch some fan cams from the Luxury Disease Asia tour, like Malaysia, Jakarta, and South Korea. The way he conducts the crowd to sing the last part after his long high note is just amazing. Fan cams from Prague are also incredible. That entire show is actually amazing and even good quality.

I'd like you to see a video of them performing this song on their European tour or American tour. Oftentimes, random people from the venue are brought up on stage to convey the message TAKA is putting into the song. When I see the scene where everyone jumps with respect that transcends race, I'm trembling with emotion.

With all the contradicting phrases in the lyrics: "shoot low aim high, eat up stay thin, white face tan skin, etc." I think it means that you can't make everyone happy and you will lose yourself trying to do that. Societies ideals are contradicting so don't try to please everyone and just exist

I rly wish someone took a look at the lyrics beyond the catchines of the chorus with this one, bc the writing is very good but not very complicated xd ‘stand out fit in’ IS and ment to be a contradiction bc the song as a whole says “they tell you to stand out and to fit in and to aim high and shoot low etc, and society tells you to be this and that but it’s impossible to please them and it’s all bs and that’s why you should be yourself.” They yell, they preach I've heard it all before Be this, be that I've heard it before Heard it before Big boys don't cry Shoot low, aim high Eat up, stay thin Stand out fit in Good girls don't fight Be you, dress right White face, tan skin Stand out fit in Do you remember all the disney movies that preach ‘be yourself!’ but they are almost all about white, straight, attractive looking ppl? Yeah. And everybody telling you to stand out, not to blend in with the crowd, in class, in a job market, at a party, but then you stand out as your authentic self and they are like ‘yeah, not like THAT’, they want you to stand out but only in the right way in the way they want you to. - Any way xd today I thought, one day I’ll wake up and there won’t be a new reaction from you to OOR, and that will be a sad day!
