it makes you realize one piece is very formulaic though....it does it well but unlike say naruto its story is very linear...thats on thing naruto didnt copy and did better than one piece I would say...its story wasn't simplistic..it went to different layers arcs and was not always linear...stuff like the tsuande arc the invasion arc the forrest of death zabuza and haku being sympathetic heck even sasuke leaving weren't easy story turns ...shippuden was sorta but still not

how they not show luffy losing his crew..thats probably the saddest moment from a narrative stand point in so many ways...1. luffy pretty much gave up and let his crew know to run pretty much not having faith in them to win which thus caused them to doubt and fail which he had never expressed before 2. they had to be separated to get better and refine their protecting skills for the new world 3. it showed luffy he is nothing without them 4. its his family being torn apart and he cant do nothing about it 5. it could of been the last time they ever met 6. he failed them 7. we lost the crew for years making their reintroductions with new skills designs so special 8. he becomes pretty rogue and starts a new journey alone like in chapter 1...theres so many things that scene implicates..

Perfect, 10/10. Only nitpick, in between Sabaody to Amazon Lily I would have added the scene where Kuma already sent all the Straw Hats to the other islands, and Luffy has kneeled in tears, because he couldn't protect them, until Kuma does the same. Such a strong moment in the series and it deserved to be here.

This is the best anime ever, no matter what people say. I just love one piece, from the bottom of my heart. My love for one piece started when I was really young, year 2006-2007, and I had a one piece PlayStation 2 game. At the time I thought it was just a game, but later on, 2011 I started watching one piece. Considering how young I was, I didn't enjoy thinking of how big one piece was, and I only watched 1 episode per day. So I gave up on trying to watch it. 2018, August I decided to watch one piece. And I did. And after 3 incredible months of watching 10 episodes per day, I finally reached the weekly episode releases. The thing that inspired me to start watching it again, was one piece opening 20, hope. It made me realize that I was wasting my time not watching the anime I promised to myself I would as a child. Watching one piece was one of the best decisions I've ever made so far.

This year I'm 25, I don't know why but when I was a kid I've never watched One Piece on tv. I watched Dragonball, Naruto , Pokemon, Yugioh and so on. Recently I re-started watching anime, I've ended Db Super, Naruto Shippuden, One Punch Man, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood and HxH. All of them taught me something and changed my life. 2 months ago I decided to finally start One Piece and even if I'm at the beginning (Water Seven, atm) I'm loving it so much; I'm whatching this 20th anniversary video and I'm so excited even if I don't know the whole story, yet.
