Not sure if you know this already, but the character Iñaki is portraying, Luffy, is supposed to be even more energetic than him. Makes sense that one of the most animated anime characters has someone like him to bring Luffy to life

Mackenyu poor bb was jet-lagged and exhausted, he tends to be chaotic when well-rested, he also loves One Piece.

Yeah! Iñaki has experience in theater, he started as a child, that may be a good reason why he is good at projecting his voice and speaking clearly.

Mackenyu looks exactly like the character he plays. But usually (in Japanese interviews) he is more chaotic. I think he impersonated Zorro a little 😂

The truth is... he was jet-lag. Whenever u see him that quiet, jet-lag is always the answer. 😆 There are a couple of times where he was actually loud and active when he was with the One Piece cast.

He actually admitted himself that he was always sleepy in the One Piece interviews :’) probably because of a busy schedule (he was still in the middle of another filming session) and jet leg yeah.

@@hellbunniez3 he was very tired to the point where he actually confessed whenever he got a free time he always tried to find a place to nap 😭 Honestly we can see him being more energetic outside of interviews, like how he hyped Taz up when he cut a tuna in Japan or when he went fishing with Iñaki. Unfortunately because of his agency we can’t really see pictures/videos of him outside of the approved ones.

My theory is that Mackenyu is one of those people who will stand at the back of a crowd, arms crossed, no expression, then on the way home you ask him for his thoughts and he's like "I had a great time. That show was fantastic" Dad energy basically

Why all your personality descriptions matches the character persona they are playing in the show?? 😂😂All one piece fans will know how your analysis is spot on the characters.. i don't know if it's their real personality or they are so engrossed in characters.. like inaki is so charming and fun . He really acts like luffy alot.(the character he plays).same goes to mackenyu and others.. it was fun to watch your analysis of them....

Since Makenyu's father is such a big star in Japan that there is no one who does not know him, I think he is always very careful about what he says and does in public. Probably because that has been his habit since he was a little boy. As is the case in the U.S., the media is always keeping a close eye on the words and actions of celebrities' relatives, looking for any problems.

Emily’s also the oldest member of the group, so I’m not surprised she’s taken on somewhat of a leader/big-sister type role within the group. It’s really cool to see them all together. I haven’t seen a cast I liked the dynamic of this much since the original Lord of the Rings Trilogy and the Chronicles of Narnia movies.

Just a little correction, Iñaki’s name is pronounced like: “Ee-nya-key” :)

when spelling out pronunciations it’s better to avoid words that have the same spelling as other commonly used words since it just provides confusion. rather than with a key which may be mispronounced as key (like the word) or khey (like the ey in hey), just end it with a “ki” since it’s a short i sound.

I really liked your analysis!, I'm surprised at how accurate you were in saying about Iñaki and the theater. Yes, Iñaki has been acting in theatre since he was very young, He always liked acting. I'm Mexican just like him, and even though he has a lot of experience for this A lot of the traits you mentioned are like "very much their own" (to call it that way) In the way a Mexican expresses himself, when we talk to other people we tend to look directly into the eyes, Somehow, if you don't, it can even come across as disrespectful, But Iñaki transformed all of that in his own way, and even if he's already a super charismatic person, it seems that these traits caught the attention of foreigners. Thank you so much for your good feedback!

Honestly even better because she's has a martial arts background and and doesn't have to be damsel in distress like they often do with her in the anime. It's cool to see a very capable female role that's not just Mary Sue-ified or vise versa and Louise Lane-d. It's inspiring to see :)

@@bowwing333 kinda True, but JUST being skilled in combat is not sufficient in the animanga, as the powerscaling of the strong characters is overpowered in animanga. Normal human characters like Nami or Ussop are severely outmatched my the superhuman strength of the stronger characters in animanga. So, Nami being physically weak in animanga doesn't take anything away from her, and it actually elevates her character more, as inspite of being far more weaker and in fact a "normal" human amongst the superhuman pirates all around, animanga Nami is far more impressive that she survived those situations just through her stealth, cunning, trickery, wits and intelligence and some basic fighting skills with the staff. Nami never is a damsel in distress in the manga or anime. She is just a normal human living in the world filled with super humans, so she is obviously weaker, scared, but she survives in it with her intelligence, mental strength, skills... And she even stands up for her friends inspite of the odds and her evident mismatch of powerlevel against stronger opponents. Just because she is far far more weaker, and sometimes needs to be saved doesn't mean she is damsel in distress. She handles herself in majority of the situations, INSPITE OF the handicap of being many levels weaker compared to the superhuman strength of the stronger characters, in animanga. So, Animanga Nami is also not Louis-laned not Mary Suefied. She is a great character, by herself, by her mental strength, standing up against great odds for what she believes in and her friends, inspite of being outmatched, and anime Nami is very very empathetic and kind, underneath all that mental strength. And Emily in live action has a more physical presence because of her martial art training, but more because live action has dailed down the overpoweredness of all the "superhumanly stronger" characters hugely. So, live action Nami feels kinda evenly matched with other strong pirates. That's just the direction of the live action. Live action Nami is more physically capable in the live action one piece world, Whereas the animanga Nami is lot more stronger from both inside and outside to handle situations and stand her ground inspite of being severely outmatched. So, both has their own flavour to it. Both are strong in their own way. All that said, that physical display of combat skills is not something that is necessary to makesNami great. that's just a added bonus. Nevertheless, Emily is the perfect Nami. In my previous comment, Anyway I referring to Nami being the person who directs and takes decisions majorly, and Luffy and others follow her even though Luffy is the captain (ofc except when Luffy demands something). And Emily the actress also giving the same impression of being the leader in the one piece cast, even though iñaki is the main character... N this was pointed out in the video... Which shows that the presence of Emily in the cast mirrors the Nami's presence and position in the anime.

impressions are always updating. for example i was enjoying this and, though it was a limited sample leading to likely erroneous assumptions, i liked seeing someone's reactions and ideas about these actors and how they present while interviewing. but then when i wanted to watch more i found out i had to pay. so i stopped enjoying this and will be moving on without further interaction or consumption of this media, while others will be more than happy to buy-in and continue.

how can you know if their communication skills are good or bad if you don't know some of their background first (i mean the manga/anime One Piece) ?? i mean that these guys (and Emily) are acting like their characters to please the fans and to become better at their job so it's not like they are being their usual selves there. 0:50 well we don't know if Inaki is so charismatic in his real life as well but right now he MUST act with charisma because he's the captain (the leader) of the pirate straw hat crew. 2:08 again this is his character speaking not Makenyu himself, Zoro is so laid back and always trying to find a place to take a nap. 5:01 i think that you wanted to say "very big energy from Luffy"
