So something quite huge I missed in the very first panel at Hachinosu appears to be the return of the Krieg Pirates. We see Pearl very clearly and off to the right side a man wearing Krieg's armor. I say maybe Krieg because his face, nose and chin do not resemble Krieg at all but I guess Oda could have changed his style. Another man wearing shades and a sword is next to him. I suppose that is Gin but once again, the design is VERY different. However, Pearl being their is undeniable, so it's most likely them.

Also the fact that “mo” is in hiragana (も) and not katakana (モ) means that whatever Vegapunk was about to say was most certainly a japanese word with no phonetic similarities to any english word. So if you wanna figure out what he was about to say, it most definitely is not an English word starting with “mo”. So figuring that out will be especially hard for non-japanese fans 😅

You are forgetting, Nefertari D Cobra confirmed he was a member of D. It's the reason Imu immediately ended the conversation. Imu was going to kill Cobra regardless, but finding out Cobra was a member of D was the reason Imu stopped humoring him. It went from Cobra being a leader overstepping his bounds to his being dangerous. When Imu found out, he took him more seriously and shifted from playing with his kill to prioritizing his kill. Vivi also has the D, but like Law, it was a secret.

My headcanon that I believe is real is that Cobra is not a D, he's D by marriage. Nefertari Titi, his wife, is most likely the one with real lineage of alabasta royal family and Cobra is only filling in for her until Vivi is ready. After all, the name lined up. Nefertari Lili was the real queen regnant. So Nefertari Titi is the royal by birth one, not Cobra. The real problem occured because he revealed Lili's full name is Nefertari D Lili. Prior to this, Imu already put extra attention on Vivi, mind you. Why? Because Vivi is the real royal by birth of Alabasta. Meanwhile, Cobra is just Nefertari by marriage.

I generally like to think of myself as a patient individual and most of the time I try to be. So having said that and knowing how Oda seems to like to do things I can't say that I am too surprised by this. However, I will admit that him dangling one of the biggest mysteries in front of me and then having what might have been a revelation on that topic snatched away did annoy me to a degree. In past years, I would have been rather angry, but that is not how I am anymore. Still, I will say that I really do hope we actually do get some answers to this particular topic by the time One Piece ends because my patience is beginning to run just a little bit thin. That is all I wanted to say.

@@kata788 I don't know if your answer was directed at this comment chain in general or anyone else here, but I want to make one thing clear. I used to get angry very easily at pretty much anything so my getting angry in the past would have been considerably less about this issue in particular then it would have been about the fact that something was dangled in front of my face and then snatched away. Having said that, I do believe that while One Piece does have us discover the story itself to an extent, it does to some extent involve people filling in the blanks too. An example would be the Red Poneglyphs where we got an explanation into not just their use but more details about the Poneglyphs in particular. At this point my annoyance comes from the fact that we seem to be getting to the point where a number of things we have been waiting for have begun happening at the point when it was about time for them to begin happening. We have formally met Dr. Vegapunk, we now know Kuma's past and his reasons for becoming a pacifista and other similar details. We just got through a prepared speech and summary from Vegapunk which has served to give us more context into the void century. I am willing to wait to get these answers, however I do want the questions to be answered and when that time comes, I will be happy for it. I do expect that there will need to be someone or something that will help to fill in the blanks for what the characters cannot fill in via what we can see. For example, I can see the void century being given a full detailed explanation from the Rio Poneglyph but I am sure Robin will need to fill in some details. I imagine that Luffy would ultimately only listen to the things that he decides to listen to, he has plenty of practice in that. Still if there is something important for him to know then he will understand it one way or another.

I'm a little confused of what you mean though, this feels like it was a different topic but either way you're welcome to having an opinion, I just think it would be silly for the main character to say "Don't tell me the answers, I want to find out" and then the fanbase to be shocked when that happens, what Vegapunk explained about the sea rising was already kind of displayed before this when Imu used the ancient weapon over Lulusia. And that kind of plot device isn't something they can easily "Discover" in time before it ruins the world, someone has to explain it to them or nobody would know to stop it.

This is because the One Piece is a device that will drain all the water around the world and project it to the moon through Reverse Mountain, destroying the Red Line, through that process all the treasure that is under water will be gathered in just one place (where the water was being drained), so the One Piece is an actual physical treasure but also the biggest treasure in the world

It makes perfect sense that it was Topman Warcury, godhead of justice, to headbutt the Iron Giant and cut the message short. All of the _Gorosei_ have _youkai_ forms that directly conflict with their positions. For instance, Jaygarcia Saturn is an _Ushi-Oni,_ a _youkai_ that's brutal and requires warding away with a superstitious chant, yet he is godhead of science; plus, he was the one to activate the Buster Call on Egghead, which, morality aside, conflicts with what you'd expect from a scientist. To come back to the subject of Warcury, he is godhead of Justice yet he is a _Fengxi,_ a boar that runs over random civilians. The irony also extends to his action of stopping Vegapunk's important message to the world. The public has the right to know, but Warcury unjustly ends the message prematurely. Both of these point to an obvious fact: on the surface, the _Gorosei_ are heads of certain departments; in reality, they'll always go against their supposed role whenever it conflicts with their leader Ymu's power. In alignment terms, they're Neutral Evil with Lawful tendencies; this is because they're normally Lawful Evil, but will choose Evil over Law whenever they conflict.

I expect the message to continue after the Gorosei start focusing on the Strawhats and we see them PANIC and scramble to get back to the Iron Giant, ending in them not stopping the straw hat escape and them not stopping the message. Ending with us seeing the Straw Hats fly away with a Ceup De Burst depicted as flying towards the sun while hearing the end of the message.

I’ve seen a lot of people disappointed with the broadcast, and while I agree it could have stood to be a little shorter, remember that the revelation that the world has sunk and will sink again is the single biggest hint to the endgame since the introduction of the One Piece itself in chapter 1. It was a little disappointing that nothing of particular importance was brought up after that, but in hindsight it does make sense that Vegapunk would want to start with the biggest piece of info, even if narratively it may have set expectations a little too high for the rest of the broadcast. I’m more than satisfied with this: we get a plot-shaking revelation, several other smaller reveals, and we get to see the entire cast and what they’re doing at the moment. And that’s besides all the great moments of Straw Hats on Gorosei action in between. If you’re disappointed with this, it’s probably for a combination of two reasons: the number of breaks making this feel more stretched out than it actually was, and setting expectations too high only for Oda to do literally the most predictable thing possible. I can guarantee that unless you go in deliberately trying to hate it, every single one of you will love this sequence when rereading it all at once.

In my time watching and reading One Piece, I have learned that a little bit of patience both due to the breaks and due to how Oda does things has served me well. That is not to say I would not like to see more even though I did enjoy these last few chapters, but I feel we did get some new information which can help to put some things into perspective and will help to make the pieces fit together better the next time we get a series of revelations. I will note that I understand that if there are any fans who have as you put it, set their expectations too high then it seems to me that this would likely not be the first instance of this occurring from my observations.

Honestly its Oda's (wrong) doing. Always cliff hangs, hyping up and all that. Constantly raising stakes, expectations and all...of course he also rises risk of failure and dissapointment. Because he is like "Omg you are not gonna believe what this character did, its so epic and awesome you are gonna love this i swear...yeah he just confirmed most of theorized ideas of the fanbase. I just wanted extra time to chill and have a break. I need to give Toei something to work with while i struggle to fill any plot holes and find a way to wrap all of these plots and grand story to finally conclude." Oda really needs to stop this or actually pull up an actual plot twist at this point. And finally ACTUALLY turn the One Piece world upside down. the odd thing about this chapter for me personally. Is the Straw Hats on the ship having their eyes pop out. I know it's suppose to be a gag. but Oda has made it prevalent it's when Luffy is around while in G5. So unless Luffys G5 effect is island wide and Luffy then afterwards powers down because we see Luffy in his normal form. or something is up with Venus (or The Goresai in general.) And I say that also the moment before Venus attacks the ship you see Zoro or Jimbie (or someone) yell out "There's something special about his presence!!" then the very next panel you have the crews eyes pop out.

I think it is pretty big that this gives an actual reason for why the World Government persecuted the Fishmen and Merfolk, because they could find and see all the sunken cities and kingdoms. They were probably scared that a Fishman or Mermaid would find and tell other people about all of these places under the sea.

Me too, I recall once reading a book series where there was a character who noted that the elder members of their family have a tendency to do that in conversations to the point of being annoying. As they noted, in a visit from the older members of their family that lasts four hours, saying goodbye to them typically takes about two of those hours because they insist on bringing up topics and points of interest or importance this way before leaving. Thus, when they ended up dealing with other people who are giving them instructions this way, it annoys them both because of this and because they have important things to do (preventing genocides, apocalypses, and such the usual) on a very short time frame with little instruction on how to get from point A to point B let alone from one end of a plan to the other. The character believes that if the other characters would summarize and get the point the whole process would be much smoother or at least less annoying.

You’d assume he is smart enough to know that someone will interfere with the broadcast. And the way the gorosei and York blew a sigh of relief when the message stopped tells me that this message might not be completely over. Maybe vegapunk planned for the message to be interfered with and planned to somehow live broadcast what’s going on in egghead once the message was cut off, contributing to your question.

A lot of people are jumping on theories about “mo” being like the first letters of an eng word like Moon, Monkey, Motherflame, but that isn’t the case at all. Its not something translated in literal English. "mo" as in hiragana (も) is phrase particle. It is not even a full word. So the phonetic meaning behind it could literally be a 100 different things.

To answer your first question, after rereading the chapter it does indeed appear to be Pearl although how he, Don Krieg, and Gin got there I have no idea. It seems that a lot of characters we haven't seen in a long time are appearing. I will not answer the second question because I am neither knowledgeable enough about you nor remotely qualified to answer. Sometimes I think I'm a little bit crazy so if you are, it is not necessarily a bad thing. A little insanity now and then can be a good thing depending on how it manifests.

Having said that, if he is basing the question of whether he can see Pearl in that panel or not then he can take comfort that he is in good company. Since many others also see it, we are either all mad or we are all of sound mind. I know of the good kind of insanity (for me my obsession with imagination which makes me focus on details, a helpful trait in life) and the not so wise kind (my tendency to think about things that scare me even when I need to sleep). Depends on the situation and what you make of it.

Somebody probably mentioned this already, but what if Laughtale was basically Jimbala? The lost kingdom from the „Jim Knopf“-story (Jim Button). I‘d love that because I grew up watching the „Augsburger Puppenkiste“ (Augsburg‘s puppet box). The original books are apparently over 60 years old by now and I also love the cartoon-adaptation. In that case, Laughtale would be a crystal city that would rise to the surface by flooding another island.
