I love you King, but I'm sad that you and everyone thought the 9 tailed fox is referencing Naruto and transformation jutsu, showing how bad Naruto influenced ppl's knowledge of actual legends. It's not. The kyubi from Naruto is in fact referencing the 9 tailed fox in Asian legends, one of the 3 most feared monsters in the Middle Ages across Asian countries, go look up the legend of Tamamo-no-Mae and Daji. Oda is referencing these legends as well because in Japan, Tamamo-no-Mae is the most notorious 9 tailed fox who ravaged not just Japan but China and ancient India under different names (by transforming into different ppl). These 9 tailed foxes are extremely powerful monsters who not only has immense magical powers but can transform into people to trick humans, usually into a beautiful woman (irony since Devon here is not a beautiful woman who hunts beautiful woman, it's a nice twist on Oda's take on the real legend) to charm men. I hope my explanation helped with understand these references to the rich culture and legend of Japan...

So an interesting thing i noticed from this chapter that i don't see anyone else talking about. Look at the last page. King and Queen are talking to Jack and they say something along the lines of "now that we can't use Joker, you know where to go for our next trade." This line struck me as very interesting. Essentially what this says to me is basically, "now that we can't get artificial devil fruits from joker, we need to find a way to get other devil fruits." Who is the absolute KING of devil fruits? I don't believe it's a coincidence that Blackbeard was re-introduced in this chapter and King and Queen hint at needing another source of devil fruits for their army. To me, this is straight up hinting at further evidence that BB will show up in wano. I can literally picture him showing up to wano with a ship full of devil fruits ready to cause havoc. You have the re-introduction of BB, the fact that moria is essentially forced to join his crew now and we know he has business in wano, and this one-off line that no one is talking about. just further evidence that this mother fucker is going to be there.

You know what, People complaining for how Oda give Shiriyu the clear² fruit. They forced their own thought about him having Diamond² Fruit instead. But, for me THAT WAS BRILLIANT! looking for Shiriyu's Character, he is one hell of torture loving mother fliping bastard, you know what i said right. And the most certain thing is, how constant Oda playing those characters without make any mess in detail. I belive The most enjoyfull moment for Shiriyu is to watch his enemy suffer when he slaying them. He enjoy their scream, their bloodspread, their cry, and whatsover. And with Clear² ability, that MAKE SENSE FOR TO MOST! It will make easier for him to toying with his victims. Thats how brilliant Oda is. He never make any of his character to stray from their lines. and for this Shiriyu's case, it is absolutely matched and suit him for all!

I don't know why people think sanji can't fight a calamity now. He has a raid suit now doesn't he. Sanji is the only straw hat / powerful character in the series that doesn't use a weapon (shoes don't count). A raid suit buff would justify a high enough buff to fight a commander / calamity. No one knows how powerful that suit can be in sanjis hands to descredit any kind of buff that oda wants to give to sanji. Also Jack the drag haha. Happy to see oda was intentionally making Jack consistently fail and not just mishandling his character by using him to highlight other people's strength. Though I'm sure he did that too.

And no we don't know what the potential of the raid suits can do because we never saw any of germa go all out without the suits to compare the power increase with it. Sanji is likely going to fight a calamity using the raid suit either alone or with help, win, and the western one piece community (since marine Ford) is probably going cry like the always do when a power villain loses by anyone other than zoro. If this same community was around during cp9 people would probably say sanji couldn't beat jabura and the cry when he did...

@@cresentj Katakuri was the strongest commander for Big Mom yeah, and his bounty is barely higher than Jack's who seems to be the lowest ranked commander for Kaido (note I say lowest ranked not weakest, he could be PHYSICALLY stronger than Queen just maybe not as good overall we can't say yet except that he seems lowest of the three in respect). Expecting Sanji and Zoro to 1v1 people who could be more of a threat than Katakuri seems like a stretch right now, but I guess anything is possible. It's gonna be a long arc, and we're probably a long way off from where those fights could happen. I'd probably prefer if they 2v1'd the commanders with help from the right-hand men from Law and Kid's crews. Zoro and Killer vs King would be pretty awesome, they both use bladed weapons and I imagine they'd have banter being the only non-captain supernovas. Then Sanji and Bepo vs Queen, they both use martial arts and fighting with their legs, plus both have power-ups in-waiting (Sanji with the raid suit and Bepo with Sulong). That's working on the assumption that Luffy, Law and Kid team up against Kaido though.

If pre-timeskip ussop were the head of the revolutionaries he would probably have the highest bounty in the world even though a navy captain could easily beat him. Kaidous crew clearly cause a lot of destruction where ever they go hence the term calamities, which would explain the high bounties but they could easily be the weakest commanders out of all the emperors. No will know until the arcs finished. I do really like the match ups you suggested.
