That's the thing with Luffy. He's simple-minded. He doesn't need to know anything about Nami for him to do everything he can to help her. He just seems to have a good sense of who people are on the inside. And he trusts this intuition completely. It's basically how he picks his crewmates too.

Looking back luffy and zoro not needing to know her backstory made them cooler characters...they just know she's hurting and can't leave this place despite wanting to adventure explore get away from it all due to a broken childhood or she can't really abando these people for some reason and that's all they need...it doesnt matter why really...her true dream is being crushed and that's the real issue

Love the react... but... mmm if you keep doing 1 episode at a time it'll take you like 15+ years to watch the series... and as of now it's especulated the series will last 5 more years. So... maybe 2-3 episodes at a time?

@@jmosias I'm just talking numbers, even if they do 2 episodes a week, it'll take them 15+ years. Last Arcs are supposed to last 5 more years. Just saying. By the time they catch up... it'll be several years after the series ended. Will be here for it, but YT and most audience will not. I know how much work goes into editing videos for YT, so I just don't want their effort to produce lower views.

Yup this series will pick up. You are in the weakest of all the OP sagas. This is all set up. I already liked it at this point, and then it just keeps escalating. I was like oh this is why people say this is the. Eat anime. This was way back in the early 2000s too, before all the newer stuff that’s happened since then. So yeah you picked a good anime to watch. Fun fact luffy isn't even 18 yet so him killing people would send a bad message and for the character it means the end of their dreams and possibility to repent and change so he doesn't kill which is a good message I feel to send to distinguish between good pirates and bad ones...if luffy just killed because he hated people or they got in his way I wouldn't see him as a hero...goku kills but only really when he has to same for naruto whose killed like barley anyone either...it just isn't a good look for your mc to be killing people...
