Shanks was ready to fight fair and square BUT here comes Kid being stubborn as he is. Shanks sees the future of Kid destroying his weak allies and of course, we all know Shanks protect his friends/people. Lay a finger on one of Shanks people or friend, he is gonna destroy you. This episode had Shanks looking diabolical and he is not even at full power. Divine Departure was just a basic attack This arc is non stop peak and it's getting better and better

Kid’s cocky ego and overconfidence is what led to his dreams being taken away from him in the blink of an eye. He forgot that he didn’t beat Big Mom all on his own. Don’t misunderstand me and the rest of you should take this into consideration too, Kid is in no way weak, he definitely is worth 3 Billion for a reason, Shanks was simply just the stronger one of the two. With his observation haki he saw the ill-fated future that Kid would have caused massive destruction to Elbaph and his fleet with his Damned Punk. So with that deep insight into the future he wanted to nip this mess in the bud before it had the chance to get ugly, real ugly. Shanks took this matter and Kid both very seriously and knew that he had to end it all in one blow.

For real, shanks is powerful but in no way an ego maniac like kid is. Because of that, his ability and awareness to handle a situation when it gets serious despite how powerful he himself his just displays how much of a high emotional and intellectual intelligence he possesses to neutralize potential threats effective really is.

Yup. Luffyt right now , people dont think he would beat Kaido in a rematch by himself. It would be a close and tough fight but Luffy would probably lose. Kid had law with him and they still didnt really beat big mom , the bombs did the last of the damage as otherwise she would have came back. Luffy in comparison had a definitive win compared to Kid and Laws , add to that Kid not expecting shanks to come out immediately and his bad tendency to basically kill innocents ( though I guess pirates arent innocents but your know what I mean). It lead to this.

And about The fleet, what do you all expect kid to do? Not attack? Wait for the fleet shot his ship? Is him suppose to know that shanks would make them retreat? This is a battle, this "unfair" bullshit makes no sense, He were outnumbered and yet could anihilate all ships and all The people see its the one hit k.o (something that already happened with luffy)

What an evil, wicked, malign, vicious and violent man, protecting all sorts of people from the mountain bandits, Kid Pirates and other bulllies alike, stopping wars and promoting funerals for old rivals out of respect, how dare him? So evil! Jokes aside, i think that his fate will be death at the hands of Blackbeard at Laughtale, setting the final battle between the Strawhats and the Blackbeard Pirates. I do think Luffy will get to see him again before he dies, maybe even learn a final lesson before the end.

He's for sure not all good character he's a complex one and his arc is gonna be amazing. They also hinted in the red movie that he can be a traitor if you watch the movie you will understand what im saying...the movies have alot of hints about the story espacially film red.....luffy and his friends fighting a monster with three skulls logo in the dream world it hints that luffy will fight teatch in the dream world.....also a hint about luffy having a sword just like roger......etc

I think it wasn’t very clear in the anime that he was using future sight, honestly, a few reactors I’ve watched missed it on first viewing. The thing with hype animation is that sometimes things like this get swept along with it because it gets misconstrued as an artistic choice 😅

There's an interesting case to be made for the fact that this was exactly what happened with Luffy and Kaido. A rookie goes after someone that's far out of their league and gets one shot. Except this time the rookie is the bad guy and the emperor is the good guy. Let's hope that Shanks' story has a happier ending than Kaido's. Kid is what would happen to Luffy if he WASN'T that main character and had fate on his side, he's a casuality in an unfair world.

The narrator saying Kidd's crew was destroyed gave me the same vibe as what happened with the straw hats at the end of Sabaudy. So I feel like this may be an evolution point for Kidd as well as Luffy when he was on the verge of death and experienced the attack of a Yonkou with advanced haki of the conqueror, which was one of the conditions if he survived he could use that same advanced haki as well as Luffy. Both Kidd and Law are the pirates of the new generation who will advance together with Luffy and what they needed was to experience an encounter with a Yonkou on their own and try to survive.

I feel bad for kid and killer men 🤦 and killer got done so dirty well the couldn't have won the fight anyways, kid losing an arm to ben, to killer eating the smile devil fruit and kid being in prison they really can't catch a break but despite how bad things have been for kid he still gets back up and that's why I like him, I just hope he doesn't drop the dream after this, I really don't know how's he's gonna compete after this 😩.
