I think it's really an ancient weapon, because in the manga, MotherFlame is mentioned as an unlimited energy, not a weapon. So the reason the world government has not used it until now is because there was no energy that could be used to use ancient weapons before the discovery of MotherFlame. This is the speculation theory of many people so far who have read the manga.

yo i didnt think about that, sabo is a logia user and got stabbed. I wonder if the red glowing on Imu at the time was Haki or some dif type of haki. also still hating the whole gender thing, they literally said king, i mean it could be a descendent but highly doubt. i think we will get a charachter that lived in the void century and that person is Imu. But either way my theory is hes not human but rather an entity.

I think I read somewhere that he didnt turn into fire because Imu's tail woulda stabbed Cobra through Sabo's body, or that Sabo didn't want to burn Cobra or sumn

haha yeah, even if the word king can be to woman, just like when bigmom want to be king of the pirates. pretty sure they won't notice on how ivankov called imu. celestial dragon are always called saint/-sei for men and saintess /-gu for women. and ivankov called imu with Imu-sei or saint imu meaning it could be a hint that imu is a guy
