Fun fact. Hibari's speech patern in the manga is the same as Akainu. And Akainu always has pink flower on his shirt. That flower is the Hibari flower so it's somewhat implied that these 2 are related, possibly being father and daughter.

The intended message of this scene was to show how well Garp uses his Conqueror's Haki, demonstrating the ability to cause damage without touching anything, similar to what Luffy does. However, the anime executed it so poorly that it looks like Garp is throwing something and causing it to burn. In the manga, the intended message was that Garp has the power to destroy an island without making contact, but the animation turned out to be really bad.

The anime actually showcased the shockwave pretty well and made it clear it was a punch, you being blatantly blind has NOTHING to do with it, the only difference is that they made the shockwave explode, but every single visual cue for conquerors coating was deployed here, thick lightning and emission, get some glasses.

@@ates8129 Anime onlys get confused by everything either way, they don’t consistently keep tabs on conquerors coating or armament emission, any way they showcased it would’ve been confusing for anime watchers and that is due to Oda's incosistent showcase The adaptation was nearly perfect and went above and beyond while still getting pretty much the same point across, you are just being blatantly disrespectful to talented artists doing their best work by calling it “bad” since it didn’t play out how you had it in your mind, Divine Departure played out completely different to what I thought it’d be yet it was still magnificent, but some of you are just stubborn as fuck and think everything should go their way The majority loves this, the anime watchers are not missing on any details they are not going to catch either way and it’s amazing work by the toei staff, just keep it moving you are not going to gaslight anyone into buying your putrid opinion
