Fun fact about the scene of the Roger pirates on Laugh Tale: the word Roger uses to say “funny story” in Japanese is “waraibanashi” literally translates to “tale of laughter” or something to that effect. Additionally, those words are used in the last line of Binks’ Sake: “Hatenashi, atenashi, waraibanashi” which translates to something like “Our never ending, ever wandering, tale of laughter”. This observation has caused a lot of people to think that the lyrics of Binks’ Sake contains hidden information about the final island in it

They're talking about Poseidon (Shirahoshi) being born and another ruler (probably Joyboy) from a distant sea. If you remember, the poneglyph that was found in fishman island tells about something like an apology of Joyboy to Poseidon. That means the two rulers have connection even before the prophecy.

I would recomend seeing "one pace". Its one piece, but edited by fans, so you only get the canon part of the manga. Rearrenge some episodes to be the same as the manga. And more importantly, the pacing, it feels way more natural, and fast, it makes the anime something else. A must try.

For us, who have been watching one piece for 10+ years. That scene where he laughed was so powerful and it only was enhanced by the song "memories" from the first one piece ending playing in the background. A wave of nostalgia combined with something so epic we had been expecting for so long. There are no words to describe the feeling, my favorite episode of one piece ever.

Not sure if anyone has told you this already, Ruff, but it's been stated before that Roger crossed the Grand Line twice. When you reach the end through normal means aka the Log Pose, you reach Lodestar Island, where you discover that there is another, hidden Island (Laugh Tale). The first time Roger crossed the Grand Line, it must have been a different route, then on his second voyage (this time with Oden), they went through the same path as Luffy.

Oden wasn't breaking down in tears because he was emotionally Upset about Roger's execution, But Oden was actually breaking down in tears of Joy for Roger for the praise & exploits Roger had created in his Top Speed life adventure before it had finally come to end from his disease and execution

Might be worth noting that during this final journey with Oden, the Roger pirates had already made it around the world and learned about the secret final island. That’s when Roger decided to travel the world again except this time following the clues on the Poneglyphs to find the final island. But he knew he was dying and had to hurry which is why Oden was so much help because he could actually read the Poneglyphs whereas Roger could only get a general idea of what they said. Also, they were able to travel so freely around the Grand Line because they had already explored most of it and knew their way around.

Only Buggy and Toki got sick with fever while they were sailing near the last island and they are the only people we know that have a devil fruit ability. Maybe devil fruit eaters got sick when they are close to the last island. Thus Luffy might get sick too so Chopper would need to treat him and achieving his goal while doing it.

- It’s to bad that Orochi was protected by his 2 other family members / “magic-users” that being: - The quiet biwa player priest Semimaru (which means “cicada circle” & is a possible reference to a Japanese poet / musician, & he is voiced by Taro Yamaguchi) & he was the previous user of the Bari-Bari Fruit - The old hag is Higurashi (which is a species of cicada & voiced by Hiroko Emori) she is dressed which references the Ushi no toki mairi (a cursing ritual), laughter style “Nikyokyo…”, her black teeth is reference to a beauty practice called ohaguro / Teeth Blacking because in the past Japan believed that pitch-black objects were beautiful, & she was the pervious user of the Clone-Clone Fruit - There is a popular theory the man with blonde hair with the curl up eyebrows that she transforms into looks similar to Shiki “the Golden Lion” while the woman’s face is a young Miss Bakkin - Interesting that both of them were the pervious owners of Devil Fruits to both Bon-chan & Bartolomeo both are loyal Straw Hat supporters, but since they died somehow both Devil Fruits ended up in the East Blue which is where both were born

And it can kill eveb strong man, and you can live long enought even after you know about it. So Crocus can be a doctor that can slow the effects, just like in our times. It feels like Ruff forgot the explanation in Zou... at the very least you need more than one "loop" around the grand line to get to the one piece... In the last island you find out about the poneglyphs and all that and how to get to the place where the one piece is... THEN you have to start over looking for the poneglyphs scattered around the grand line and get someone who can read it... The straw hats are the only ones who "broke that rule of the game" by being liked by crocus, who told them sabout Raftel... then happened to come across robin so they started collecting poneglyphs... then got to zou where they were told about the road poneglyphs... they started directly as if it were their second lap... But Roger did have to do multiple laps looking for the poneglyphs and his adventure lasted a long time to get there...

A lyric of Binks' Sake "Not any more Sobbin'-a-Swabbin', It's the moon night." . This mean "Don't cry. You can see a friend on the Moon tomorrow, too." Probably. Actualy, There is a literature called "The Tale of Bamboo Cutter" in Japan. In the story, Princess who born from bamboo must go back the Moon. I think, Joyboy is a "The Tale of Bamboo Cutter" 's main character. The main character is called "Mikado(帝)". 帝 means "Emperor" in japanese. Mikado proposes marriage to the princess in the story. But, Princess Kaguya must go back the Moon. So, Somebody return to Laugh Tale from the Moon to marriage i think. It's Kaguya? Or anybody. "The Tale of Bamboo Cutter" is the only Famous Japanese literature that Oda has yet to draw as a motif.

Roger actually did go back to Gya, when he met Oden with whitebeard and asked to borrow him for a year, he did state that during that convo he made it to the last island on the log pose which is lode star island which means he once sailed across the entire grand line but he knew there was another island (secret boss for 100% completion 😅) based on what he gathered from that one ponigliph he had rubbings of.
